      @@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef It all depends on your gut microbiome which will dictates how well you will absorb the protein from the beans but most of my calories comes from sweet potatoes and i eat them with the skin which is the fiber which will stop you're blood sugar from rising. try fermenting foods so you can build those needed gut microbiome.

    I agree with you about the teriyaki beyond jerky. Texture is good but aftertaste is horrible.

    I did notice the day 1 super strength as well! I remember reading somewhere that there is some science to this as hormones support it. I’ve since forgotten the details but I’ve always experienced it.

      @@NatalieMatthewsFitVeganChef yeah, the smell can be a lil off-putting. But the hot & spicy is so reminiscent of the beef jerky I used to munch on. I do like the Louisville version too😋 vegan food is just amazing.

    I am so happy you said that it’s the calorie deficit that matters most to lose weight because I need to lose weight but I don’t want to restrict myself from certain foods I want to eat what I want in moderation/ calorie counting so as not to go overboard, btw I do have a small appetite and tend to eat fairly healthy any ways!!!

      Yes! I love a balanced approach. I find that people that restrict their favorite foods, fail. There's nothing wrong with enjoying your favorite fun foods in moderation. Food quality also matter so it's important to fuel the body with wholesome foods.
      I like the 80/20 approach 80% Whole Foods 20% "processed" and I never feel like I'm missing out. It's what I found has worked for me :)

    How old are too old to start building muscle and strong. I'm 58 and weight 78 lbs. osteoporosis off the hook. Thank you. Vegan 7 years. :)

    If you read Dr.Stacy Sims' stuff on cycles there is an explanation for why you feel so good on the first day of your period. Look her up.
