- I am nuts about this guitar. Heavy metal body shape, mahogany, set-neck construction, ebony fretboard, 24 extra-jumbo frets, Floyd Rose, and the totally awesome sustainiac electronics! Schecter has knocked it out of the park on their E-1 Special model.

Just a matter of time before they get sued by Gibson just for making a guitar that looks like a guitar.
It's very similar to the Ibanez Destroyer. Maybe both companies will sue haha.
@@austintyler8567 Nah, I'm pretty sure there's enough changes to the guitar body's shape to make it so that it's no longer considered a copyright infringement. The lower horn, for example.
The CORT Factory in Indonesia Makes Ibanez, Schecter, Jackson, Charvel, and Some Epiphones as well as some other brand names. The other big overseas factory would be the SAMICK Factory in China. EPIPHONE owns GIBSON Guitars, Not The other way Around.
Gibson wont be suing anybody again. They got problems.

You're not hearing the pure guitar tone. What you are hearing is compressed by youtube. Then through whatever speakers are in the device you are using to watch the video. To hear the guitarsc"tone" you need to be in the room with it or get one in your hands.

Schecter is to me one of the most solid brands. Even if you buy the "low tier guitars" you get a very nice playing, solid built and sounding battle ax.
i had a schecter 006 elite and it was a very good guitar with low price back in the days

Gabriel Gómez I have an Omen 6 extreme FR and it honestly is higher quality than my 2011 Gibson Les Paul Studio. I also have a active hellraiser fixed bridge which is bad ass. The quality is insane and you can’t beat the prices.
Mr Guitar Max is one of if not the best guitar reviewer around. He's so refreshing because he doesn't indulge in any "Hey, look at me, I'm quirky and funny!" nonsense, with fast cutting that so many CZcams reviewers do. His information is always clear, cogent, concise & insightful, & he plays brilliantly. After some research on the Schecter E-1 model, this video tipped the balance for me to buy it. If Mr Guitar Max ever wants a career change, he'd be a very successful model, actor, or voice actor. But hopefully he'll continue doing his great guitar reviews for the duration. The Schecter E-1Special Edition & The Schecter Hellraiser FR are must-haves. CHEERS & KUDOS
If you ever wondered why Schecter guitars look so much like ESP guitars, it's because they are made in an old facility that ESP used to make their guitars. They probably never bothered retooling the equipment.
They're owned by the same company too
But schecter made guitars in Japan, South Korea and Indonesia. The guitars are designed in California, so I don’t believe the similarities in looks have anything to do with the tooling. It only takes a different template to built a different looking guitar, and routing templates must be replaced periodically cuz they can get damaged over time.

I had a Schecter Damien Elite 6 FR that I traded away ... but for a upper tier schecter I can say it was a beautiful instrument that other companies could sell for up to 3 times the cost.

Hi Max, I can't believe you're showing this guitar, I was looking at this one a couple of months ago! You're so right about the finish and that purple, it just screams. Plus I love the ebony fretboard. I'm a big fan of the ebony.
I really like the sustainiac, I had a hellraiser with one on it. It's so wicked. I want another one, that's why I've been looking at Schecters C-7-FR-S Apocalypse with the sustainiac!

I have one of these. Great guitar overall and for something that was less than $1500 brand new, you can't beat the playability. Schecter got it right with this one.

This guitar is FREAKIN' AWESOME. I am an Explorer/Floyd Rose guy and throw in a sustainer, forget it. I need one bad. Love it. Not a Schecter fan either but this guitar may change my ways.
This is one of my favorite made by schecter in termes of look, along with the C-6 pro Aqua burst. Schecter has already became my favorite brand for guitars and maybe I'll get my hands on this E-1 special next year, as a replacement for my LTD M-1001. Thanks for this video, Max !

I have two Schecters, both 7 strings I got in 99-00. One is a basic super strat body the other is the Schecter Avenger body style. I love a good extreme body style!!

Schecter kills it on some mid to high end models. Their Blackjack ATX line was killer, their Solo Custom LP style model is amazing, the Keith Merrow and Jeff Loomis models are dope.

@guitarmax, earlier today I went to my local guitar center in Stevenson Ranch. When I went inside, I went to check out the guitars hanging on the wall and I saw the Schecter E-1 FR Special Edition at one of my local guitar centers I go to(exact one you have in this video). I plugged this guitar into a Marshall, VOX, and a Blackstar and this guitar is one of the best Schecter guitars I've ever played. This guitar gave me goosebumps when I turned the gain all the way up. I wanted to purchase this guitar, unfortunately its expensive for me to buy but I had a great time shredding on this beautiful instrument. Also, your reviews and demos on your guitars are amazing. Rock on and always have fun!!!

It's great to see you back and starting to review some higher end guitars that still won't break the bank for players on a budget. I hope some day you'll pick up and review an M-series bass from Sire. Modern design that rockers and metalheads will be comfortable with and incredibly well built basses right out of the box for well under $1000!

My dream guitar, 1500 series Floyd, Sustainiac, 24 frets with ultra access to the highest fret, killer body shape, great passive pup (I'm not really an active pup guy) and that beautiful gloss see-thru purple finish
This particular body shape is like combining an explorer with an iceman, and amazing tone

I have this guitar. Its is amazing! I was totally blown away by the carbon fiber binding, the transparent apocalypse pick up, and the glow in the dark fret markers that wasnt even in the description when i bought it! It wad worth every penny i paid for it 🤘

Completely agree with you max the features on the guitar are awesome and it looks sick as hell! Definitely tempted to get something similar. The only thing i found that was my style was the charvel DK 24 in purple which is about £800 about $1000 i guess so I'm still undecided about what to get but I looked at the schecter range recently and didnt see this one so definitely given me some food for thought! I brought the E-1 FRS because of your review. It's not often a new guitar op arises and I searched high and low for months for the most MeTaL guitar I could find. After tons of research and your review, I snagged this one sight unseen. This guitar really is a beast and needs to be better advertised by Schecter for sure. THEY USE COLORS NOW.

You didnt mention how the fret markers on the side of the neck glow in the dark. Or the fact that the apocalypse humbucker is a transparent black. I couldnt be happier with it! It has everything i wanted in a guitar. Its amazing! 🤘🤯

I recently was interested in this guitar so I checked to see if you had a review since I respect your opinion and have bought several wolf guitars you reviewed and you were spot on with you accesment ,and low and behold you did and that made my mind up for me so I pulled the trigger and bought one tonight when it comes in I know it will be as awesome to me as it is to you ,I play in a band and have to keep my black star amp low on volume which really messes with my sustain looks like I found a solution!! Thanks again for these reviews they really help !!!
