Absolutely it is. But lest we forget PS5 gives you the ps+ collection of 20 (basically all AAA) games right off the bat! And of course 3 more each month. I wish i could play morrowind on ps5 tho :(

I've been with Xbox since the 360 and got Both the initial model and the E version, Xbox one and the S and plan to get the Series S next year but I've definitely be interested in the PS5 especially after the PS4 gen the digital version looks good

Ah yes, Sony still thinks you are using the D-Pad as the main way for controlling your games. And in reality, the throttle-like triggers on the Series X's controller are so much better than pressure sensitive tic-tac buttons on the PS5. Also, the PS5's shape means it cannot sit on its side, the safer position for any console, without having to use a plastic chair. While the series X, just sits on its side like a dream because its a box, and not a super sleek but impractical design that is the PS5. In addition, the PS5's controllers cannot be used on a PC without having to set it up via bluetooth, while the X's controllers work like a dream. You just plug it into your usb via the micro usb port on the top of the controller. And, the PS5's batteries cannot be removed, while the X controller can swap standard AA and rechargeable AA without any issue. The biggest issue with the PS5, however, is that rather than having one massive highly reliable vent on the top, it has tons of tiny vents that get clogged with lint and dust over time, causing it to overheat within a few years. That was the problem with the XBOX 360, the Playstation 2, 3, 4, and the 4 PRO, and Microsoft fixed the overheating problem simply by putting one big vent on top of all their successors for any game console they made. And why does Sony still think that XO□∆ is a good setup for what would normally be ABXY. It may be much more universal, but just saying "Press the B button" is less confusing than "Press O, or the circle button, or the red button." Finally, Sony thinks its OK to have the PS5 controller still have a big button that takes up so much of the controller, that it serves more as a drink coaster than an input, while Microsoft just makes one, small, but easily identifiable X in the middle of the controller, and doesn't bother with making the controller look super sleek and futuristic that ends up being $70 rather than $60.
*_(Sorry for the rant, you can clearly see I am biased to XBOX being the best and saying the PS5 is the worst, but I did name a few points that really make the PS5 simply not as good in the long run as the Series X. That does not make the PS5 worse as a system, if you like the Playstation, go for it, but if you are looking for something that in the end will be better than the PS5, the XBOX Series X has more bang for your buck.)_*
Edit: You may not be able to buy both at the moment due to scalpers, but when the time finally comes, you chose what you think is best for you. You shouldn't be listening to me, or hating on me for downplaying Sony, just keep it in mind that this will be a purchase that will really matter, as it is something you will enjoy playing on for 5 years or more. Pick what you prefer, or what you are loyal to, and learn from the mistakes that either one may or may not bring upon you.

After having owned Both PS5 and XSX. I have to side with the PS5. It feels next gen. I upgraded from Xbox One X to the Series X. It doesn't feel next gen. It sill crashes a lot. I will give points to Xbox though, because the PS5 UI is kinda confusing at first. sometimes harder to find simple things.

Just wandering into the world of gaming for the first time.
I used to be strictly a PS guy and have both but absolute fell in love with the XB Remotes. I cant go back to PS remotes for real gaming not to mention the XB flows better through its menus, settings and game layouts. I have found in my experience, I rarely power up the PS anymore. Also the fast majority of my fellow gamers and friends "I" play with (23 of the 28 in my circle) have for the most part all moved to XB so thats another reason.

Now maybe because Im definitely growing more and more partial to my Xbox, the Series X seems to be better overall than the PS5. Not like night vs day better but there are things abput it that just draw me to it more than the PS..(Controller Layout, Navigating through the Menu, Game Titles, Graphics, Game Pass and playing remote via Phone or PC into the Xbox through the app is definitely easier and better performing than PS Remote Play.

Whats great about this generation is those of us PC gamers who are getting older and have families can now really take advantage of couch gaming.
Before 30 fps wasn't worth the comfort of sitting on a couch.
60-120 fps I can do.
It's so hard isolating yourself at a PC battlestation with kids running around. I'm super excited to sit on the couch and be able to enjoy a hobby without feeling like I'm isolated from everyone.
I've never liked pc because I suck with keyboarding but with consoles I feel like it's a trade off. You have less graphics and smoothness, but you have more fun and casual gaming, with competitive if you want.

not to mention some people work with computers / completely on computers and such, so the idea of coming home and trying to play games on your PC is kinda sad, it's so much nicer and a breeze to just turn the console on and get to gaming vs having to download Ubisoft launcher, Minecraft launcher, EA (origin) launcher, etc etc etc
I hope these systems stock stabilizes between 2022 cause if they keep going out of stock the demand as time goes on will only increase

The PS5 and Xbox aren't that different but the major advantage the PS5 has in my opinion is exclusives and the controller. I'd go with the ps5.

Not a nintendo fan but linus recently told in it's sister channel techlinked that nintendo set the world record of most consoles sold in a quarter breaking its own record. Also a pc is a better substitutes for either xbox or sony but nintendo is a whole different experience

Depends what you are looking for out of the system. Series X has VRR and a 40Gbps bandwidth out of the box where PS5 has no VRR (as of now) and 32GBps bandwidth. PS5 has all the awesome exclusives, but Series X has Gamepass (which now includes EA Access). Always having both systems, I've use my Xbox as primary for gaming and PS for exclusives. Both are great in their own way.

I actually disagree. I think because this video is going to be seen by a lot more casual/mainstream viewers, they needed to keep it short, simple, and to-the-point with fast pacing so people don’t move on to the next video.
Mark Lomonte makes sense since this will probably be seen by the console crowd who aren’t per say “tech enthusiasts” and people who don’t understand specs and whatnot. Most console players don’t even know what fps/frame rate is. But from the beginning LTT has been a very in depth tech centred channel. I expect to hear everything. I don’t really want the channel to shift into really broad, generalizations, to cater to a greater audience just so more people come on board. I wanted a longer video. Just because they wanted the regular layperson to keep engaged, I don’t think they should have skimmed on the detail the vast majority of their viewer base expects. Hopefully it’s just the one video.

Using Miles as an example as a "next gen exclusive" almost means you could have used Like a Dragon for comparison on Xbox. It has a PS4 version, but it's "next gen exclusive" on Series X.

Guys stop being fan boys. The Xbox does better on paper, but if it has better games is personal preference. I honestly like the new spider Amman game, but I’m sticking with Xbox because it’s not one of my main games I play. Also I still want forza horizon 4, and more exclusives. Again, personal preference. The difference between CPU speeds is actually just 3.5 to 3.6 in multithreading which is arguably the more commonly used mode. 3.5 to 3.8 running single-threaded.

I live in Russia and console games are just too expensive for our country to buy them more than once a month, so game pass is the best choice for us. We pay only 10$ a month and can play lot of games, it’s so important in choosing between consoles.

The Xbox Series X was so easy to get, I forgot it launched, so I went to pull up some retailers sites and they still had in stock for over 20 minutes. The PS5 took me a lot longer to get, I had to keep refreshing the page.
Because you can be one of the lucky to get it now and you lnow your choice doesnt expire tomorrow.... uou can keep that choice in your brain for when it becomes available... dur dur dur if you wait until 1s available to measure which is better. Someone else will buy it before you
I got both, because I'm compulsive sometimes. I have to say my preference is PS5 but it all comes down to the games. The series x is a phenomenal piece of tech and performance wise I think it wins but the games I want to play are on playstation.

- Has the more interesting exclusives to you personally.
- Which controller you prefer.
That should really help you choose.
But my friends are on Xbox and I have an Xbox but I like the ps5 controller and there exclusives
