11:14 the fusion corses fall out because you’re using bleed damage. It effects all limbs equally and the fusion core “limb” has very low hit points so when you attack the enemy enough it falls out as if it would if you shoot it with concentrated fire

I would guess it hadn't come up before because the only other run I can think of where it would was the Paddle Ball, but he'd probably swapped from Bleed to Fire by the time he was hitting BoS members
@@followeroftheprince when the core explodes the user, if still alive will leave the armor, however it will be permanently maked as owned, so it will be considered a crime, even if the owner is dead
the green ish mist near the ground indicates the core has been destroyed and it will blow shortly btw

You have to take Dogmeat as a companion so the stupid dog can make you look bad and of course use a mallet (or sledgehammer in this case).

That Minuteman quest glitch is tied to all the quests not loading properly at the beginning of the game. The best way to check if you've got that glitch is to talk to Codsworth at the beginning and if he doesn't hand you the "Hi, Honey!" holotape your game is broken and you have to reload a save BEFORE exiting the vault.
That sucks, but it is what it is.
It tied to the tunnel snake add on. I have a mod that delays that. Havnt had a problem since
For me the Tunnel Snakes CoC breaked everything... after disable and deleting it manually in my Files, the game worked again... activating the tunnelsnakes afterwards worked.

fallout 4's VATS has it so melee damage hurts all limbs, including the very low health of power armor fusion cores. stacking with bleeding (also affects all limbs) makes it so that you can pop cores in only a couple hits. this hilariously makes it so that punching brotherhood knights is often more effective than shooting them

I strongly recommend learning reverse pickpocket as you can insta kill enemies with caltrops that way.
It doesn't work on kellog but it worked for the courser though. Also if you get robotics, you can just turn the bots off

Here’s an idea: Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Robocop?
Rules:
- follow all of Robocops 4 directives (4th could be retooled to mean RobCo.)
- get all possible cybernetic enhancements in the game.
- complete all quests that relate to the directives (ex: Primm Sherrif quest.)
- if possible, use a mod that grants you RoboCops armour and pistol.
There's something to be said for the fact that power armor and deathclaws are probably the two most iconic things in the Fallout series.
Fallout New Vegas puts power armor training behind specific quests so it's important and impactful, Fallout 3 at least even makes you need the training from the main quest so it feels like unlocking something cool as you progress.
Fallout 3's deathclaws can spawn very early on rare occasions and put the fear in you of them, though you can cheese them cus they have no armor and just a lot of health. Fallout New Vegas very specifically puts the deathclaw-infested quarry and roads on the shortest route to New Vegas to give you a hard lesson in hubris if you think you can take them.
Fallout 4 hands you power armor and lets you kill a deathclaw within the first half hour of the game. Even with how unthreatening deathclaws are in F4 compared to the others generally, this kills any actual intimidation you should ever feel from them.

For future reference, if the "bleed" effect ever comes up in another challenge: "Bleed" may be the most broken enchantment in the game. It effects *everything,* stacks with itself, and even seems to ignore defenses (Like mirelurk shells). It's the reason Pickman's Blade is so absurdly powerful for what would otherwise be a normal knife.
May be the reason they fusion cores blew so early

Pickman's blade is my go-to melee weapon. I was so happy when I found out how powerful it was 😍
10:21 a tip: every enemy in power armor can do that, you basically destroyed the fusion core on it while on VATS, if you notice, when you hit him in vats for the first time there is a "green mist" near the ground, that's the indicative the core was broken, so when you see that: run
I was halfway through swallowing a piece of pizza when I got hit with the "FIRST NATE DEATH ON THE CHANNEL" party poppers, and I think I nearly died. Like, "red faced, tears streaming down my face, hacking to get this godforsaken piece of dough out of my throat because I started laughing as it went down" nearly died.

7:13, this is a VERY common bug, especially if you have a lot of Creation Club content installed, the fact that pretty much ALL the CC content is tied to it's own quest, when they all activate upon exiting Vault 111, the game gets overloaded by the scripts of all those quests activating at once, and it can bug out Codsworth and Preston. A creation club delay mod is the only way i've found to RELIABLY prevent this bug from happening.
Bethesda magic, baby.
Say what you will about the next gen update but it seems to have fixed that issue.
Too bad it broke literally all the mods in the process.
I couldn’t even get out of the vault on XBox One with a few creations installed.
I have no creation club stuff but have gotten this bug multiple times for the last 2 years. The bug happens if you don't follow the street to the museum or if preston saves his self.

2 challenge ideas here
1 can you beat Skyrim using only vampire abilities, armor and weapons.
2 can you beat either fallout 4, new Vegas or 3 as Gordon Ramsey. You can only heal through food items and the weapons you can use are knives obviously shiskababs and flamers(to cook the food) and pistols and hunting rifles as Gordon Ramsay worked with the military

Also, for the Gordon Ramsey run, you have to as hostile as possible to those you consider stupid.

I think the reason power armour using npcs keep dropping the fusion core is the same reason you could hit the fusion cores on the sentrybot, i think it may be a broken hit box on the rolling pin allowing u to hit the fusion core on the power armour even when in front of the enemy
Can you normally smack a fusion core out of power armor?
Apparently its because the way they coded the Fusion Cores as “limbs”. Bleed damages all limbs and Fusion Cores have very low HP. So it makes them fallout of their armor like how limbs normally do.

Didn't think I'd be saying "oh, that's neat" about the rolling pin of all weapons, but here we are.
Also, someone probably already mentioned it, but the weird "glitches" (pretty sure it's intended, but don't quote me on that) with the power armor and sentry bot has a pretty clear cause: when you target something in VATS with a melee weapon, the whole enemy lighting up isn't just visual. The attack actually just hits all parts of the enemy at once. So hitting someone in power armor damages the fusion core alongside everything else, eventually forcing it to explode.
Ive been missing mitten squad, he will never be replaced but its nice someone is continuing this format, puts a smile on my face
Even when I was mid/mid late game back when I played 4, I remember the museum Deathclaw psyching me out because of two factors:
1. Reputation of deathclaws being one of the more dangerous enemies to encounter
2. The tight space of the museum making it far more favorable for the hulking mass of melee and execution capable grab having lizard than the player (as far as I thought about it back then)
Fun thing about melee: VATS isn't the only cancel possible - when using the Super Sledge, the Camera cancel does wonder (swapping between First and Third person as soon as the melee connects and damage is dealt)

It is honestly strange that wooden weapons deal LESS damage when it starts breaking. You would think the random broken splintery parts would hurt a lot more. It does not apply to this video, but either way: a good video for a hard week. Thank you for reading my rambalings
Not really; while splinters hurt, the lack of cohesiveness means that they cannot impart anywhere near as much force as if it was whole.
@@KainYusanagi in terms of a bat or a rolling pin, they are a single hunk of wood. If I swung a half broken branch, it would still hurt as much as a normal branch, not counting the cuts and splinters in the aftermath. Same with a plank or a fence post from FO3. Unless the character itself limits his force to not snap those weapons in half in a swing, it would still deal cohesive damage. With a side of hurt (like the razorblades from the pin in the video). But your insight is good. It can be applied to a lot of weapons, like the sledgehammer, super sledge and some bladed weapons.
@@Lithuanian_NAFO_lad No, a half-broken branch wouldn't hurt as much as a normal branch, because it is half-broken. It'll just fold on the break if it's entwined sufficiently on the next hit, or fully break, and not impart all of the force to the target, because a lot of said force is lost either in the hinged swing of the half-broken piece, or in the broken-off piece flinging off. Even if you mean a piece that is broken in half and thus splintery-edged, by being half the length you won't be able to impart anywhere near as much force as a full branch, by the lever and fulcrum principles of physics.

A challenge run idea that you may have thought of already, What about a New Vegas run with either a roulette for skills or use each skill in order as listed to complete each situation similar to the alphabet challenge? Like the first skill you have to use is barter, then energy weapons, the explosives etc.

Can you beat Fallout 4 as a Subject Delta? Or as a Big Daddy? (Delta is the protagonist big daddy from bioshock 2)
-Raider power armor or the diver suit from far harbor. (Also a big daddy power armor mod)
-Cant leave the armor unless required to (Until you get it, be as clothed as possible, or use the t-45)
-Weapons: the shredder for the drill, harpoon gun, railway rifle for the rivet gun, or any other bioshock like weapons im forgetting.
-make character talk as little as possible
-save as many kids as possible
-The best side is probably minute men or railroad
-Bonus points for beating Far Harbor

I've been missing your videos, I'm glad you're still posting, I was a little worried
PSA to those who haven't updated fallout 4 yet:
1. if you use vortex mod manager or a fallout 4 script extender, you can bypass steam and launch fallout 4 without updating it
2. setting fallout 4's app manifest to read only in its properties will result in steam no longer updating it (as far as i know)
3. go to fallout 4's properties, then to updates, you can choose 2 options to make sure steam won't update the game on its own; choose "only update the game when i launch it" and "never allow background downloads" - now steam will only update fallout 4 when you launch it, but because you're bypassing steam and launching it with either vortex or f4se, steam will never be able to launch the game and so it'll never update it
This was delightful! I was trying to do something similar with a modded frying pan as Cooking Mama (tho the lack of head scarves, aside from Mama Murphy’s, made that run feel a bit half-hearted.)

Speaking of easy/simple ideas for challenge runs, I've got a couple of weapon runs for a couple of the Fallouts.
Fallout 3: Flamer only (I tried it for a bit, and it was surprisingly fun, and really gave me a greater appreciation for the flamer)
Fallout New Vegas: Single Shotgun Only (a starter weapon that I don't think anyone uses for more than 3 seconds. Might be interesting because of the slow fire rate and need to use special ammo types to change strategies)
Fallout 4: Laser Musket only (I don't recall if anybody tried this before, but it'd be fun to see you do it regardless to see the path you choose)

Someone was playing modded fallout and some how ended up with a rolling pin that had like 16 digits of damage, and a walking cane that was in the same boat.
It was so strong that when they hit a guy with it, he just evaporated and they had to reload their save to get the key item on his body.
I saw this video on my side bar and said "oh hey someone's actually going to be an old geezer for the entirety of the game. But not an overpowered old geezer."
That ending stinger was wonderful. Props to ya!

No idea when that Sekiro run will be coming, I'm making a point to avoid any sequence breaking glitches or skips for main bosses, the exception was the corrupted monk, mainly because I have to fight a stronger version later anyway, and I like showing off the one shot cheese you can do on the corrupted one lol

Fun fact! The Museum Deathclaw was in fact my *second* Deathclaw, so it still holds that sort of impact for me, being such a boost and my somehow not seeing one in tens of hours just running around the wastes.
The fusion core is caused by Melee VATS auto targeting the weakest spot, which for power armor is the fusion core. You can do the same with Ranged Weapons. Destroying the fusion core causes it to overload and detonate. It's a great strategy if you're playing a sniper.

@seanlintermoot if you pick up the penetrator perk from the perception tree, you can target the fusion core even if the enemy is facing you.

Am I literally the only person who genuinely enjoys and prefers the railroad quest line? It feels good to help people (and YES, SYNTHS ARE PEOPLE, do NOT fight me on this) and you get to be a spy. H2-22 is a sweetheart, Ticonderoga is a nice place to crash in survival mode, it's destruction legit broke my heart, Deacon is a great companion, the base is super cool, there's so much fanfic potential, the NPC's are well-written, the background lore is deep, and the gameplay aspect isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, it is a little lacking compared to the others, but "another settlement needs your help" type shit is way worse imo.
For people who actually care about the story, the Railroad is the best faction to pick. The lore is so much more in-depth than the minutemen, and they're literally the only other faction in fallout 4 that isn't evil. And YES, the BOS is EVIL, they're a fascist, xenophobic, discriminatory, militaristic dictatorship, and anyone defending the Institute needs to get their head checked.
The Railroad are cringey as fuck. They are freedom fighter larpers. They have zero plans for the betterment of the Commonwealth outside of saving synths.
The BOS need to be more nuanced. Non Feral ghouls and synths shouldn't be on the instant death list but everything else should be.

I have a suggestion for a challenge.
Can you beat New Vegas without passing the same skill check twice?

1. You can only use a check on each special, skill, and perk once in the whole game, DLC included.
2. If there's a check when talking to someone you haven't already used, it has to be used.
3. (Optional) This might apply to any lock picks, terminal hacks, chemistry sets, etc as well.
4. (Optional) The Platinum Chip checks count, meaning you must side with Mr. House unless you use your one hack on his maintenance terminal.
If you're up for an additional one to mix things up more, I'd say bring the Enclave gang back together. No challenge-related reason, I just think it might be interesting since I think there might be a couple of checks used there.
Can you beat Skyrim as a true nord? You have to collect every ingredient and ore and make all weapons, armor, food and potions yourself. Otherwise, how can you be sure the filthy Thalmor didn’t participate in their creation?

for anyone wondering the reason they're dropping their cores is the same reason he was able to pummel that sentry bot at mass fusion, he's hitting their cores and "crippling" them causing them to drop them.
Melee in Fallout VR is fun because its restricted by how fast you can physically swing the weapon. So to say that stun locking enemies is broken, is the understatement of the age. Being able to make a radscorpion coil in fear with fast gun bashes is fun.
