Sadly, the market for pure supersport 600cc like zx6r are dying, i dont think they will make another bike like that. There is bigger chance kawa will rather focus on improving their ninja 650.
Its gone into the history books unfortunately, if you want a 96-03 ZX-7R grab one NOW, as prices are going to soar for good ones, they will become a sought after classic for sure. They are still quite cheap in Europe/UK at the moment because loads were sold, find a clean stock one (in green preferably :-) The earlier ZXR 750s are already on the rise, with the once cheap J and L homologation models going for big money now, you could pick them up sooo cheap 10 years ago, wish i'd bought a couple, better investment than the bank for your money :-)
I own the 9th generation zx6r. I gotta say those horsepower figures aren't correct. I tuned and did an ECU flash with a full akropovic exhaust system and it brought the HP to a total of 124 on the dyno.
Those are horse power figures are from Kawasaki's marketing boys, all the manufactures over quote their HP, they quote "at the crank HP" (even then its "estimated") which means no Gearbox, no chain, no rear wheel and all the losses through drag they incur.

These are the figures quoted by the companies marketing, ive only ever seen an 02 ZX636 quoted at 118, (more like just over 100 hp at the rear wheel in the real world) dunno where they got 126hp from.

There is a 2011 gen. It's basically 2013 and 2009 mixed together, but 599 instead of 636.

Admittedly do like 5 gen only issue for me in the UK this gen isn't ULEZ so basically I'll have to pay extra to ride in most areas.
