Since 1984 when the Ninja was released, the bikes have rocked the world with a name that is as recognizable as that famous Kawasaki Green. Here is the EVOLUTION of the beloved sportbike, the Ninja. Still hanging on to my 95 model ZX-11. 52,000 miles and still no problems. I know it's been years since it was the fastest but, at age 62 it's still fast enough for me.
Still have my 93' ZX11, Had ZX12R, ZX14, CBRXX, and luv my 11

and keeping my 95 ZX-11. Non motorcyclists ask if it's new. Found oil on the floor this winter though. :-(
I'm also keeping my zx-11(zzr1100) 1992 with 140.000Km. Still riding like Hell!!! a Hell of a machine!!

@Mike X Probably not, Electric engines don't produce as much HP to get up to high speeds. Their torque is insane for acceleration.
But that bike not for sell in my country
H2r is not road legal. That's why it's hard to find

Lol you already have 3 motorcycles, and you talk about other motorcycles but still dont know why the H2R is not legal on the streets? Its not dumb because its bot intended for the streets, its only of track use. It doesnt have a headlight, tail light, horn, signal lights just like motoGP bikes

Still love my 93zx11d, spent 2000 in bearings, and brakes and rotors, stage 3 jet kit and carb rebuild, fuel pump, and new tires. Started polishing stuff. Really looks good, and still gets complements all the time.
Mine is a 93D as well, I dont want to say what I have spent on it. Even the washers come from Kawasaki. It is like it is a new Uprated springs and shock. Turns heads whever I go.

@David b , Right on! I do too. I was at the U.S. debut at Laguna Seca 1983 . I instantly fell in love and bought the 3rd one onto the shop I was working at. ( The 1st two were already spoken for) It has been 35 years now. I must have owned 60 plus bikes since then. I have 4 other bikes at this moment, but my GPz900r is still my favorite . Just a great all around machine.

I own the ZZR 1100 D(1999). When this bike came out was the King of speed for 6 years until honda blackbird came which was faster 3 km/h, but was not so aerodynamic and beautiful as the ZZR was
When we talk about power and speed, the big K comes to each's biker's mind no matter what bike he rides.

Sound H2R like a Beast...so powerful and intimidating. But overall ...ZX12R is my favorite ninja. Don't look from cover ...from outside looks calm but inside this one so badass😎❤️👍.
Yes ZX12R are a awesome motorcycle, i still got mine since new.
Had a ZX-9R E1 a year ago,it was so superior handling wise from C1 & C2 i also had,it saved my skin! It was tuned up to the Akrapovic and went like a rocketship

I'm one who did 150mph on the original 900 Ninja. It has an affinity for the way it accelerated, is what that engine design brought. Loved it.

A mate let me ride his 1984 900R back in the day. I had a CB750KZ at the time... so naturally I jumped on and ripped it open. After a quick view of the sky, a change of underwear and some prayers, I gave it back. Happy just to have survived.
As usual the beginning of the story was great and so it ended good too. Gpz 900 and h2r best sounding bikes 👍

It would be short, it never changed (apart from the homologation RR) from its 96 intro to 03 when it was dropped.
Unless you include the earlier ZXR-750s 400s and 250s.
I see my 1986 bikes design and heritage I new ninjas. It was smooth.

The GPZ series was the precursor to the entire Ninja line. I owned two GPZ's. An 82 GPZ550 and I still have my 1984 750 Turbo. In the spring of 84 they release the NInja900.
1985 GPZ 900 was my first bike,credit to Top Gun.I have never owned anything, but Ninjas,currently a 636,which is a beast.
Completely left out probably the most often overlooked but pivotal piece in the ZX/ZZR lineup, the ZZR1200(ZX12C) 2002-2005. Given it's status as the most powerful carbureted production bike at 160 crank 145 RW HP this bike always gets forgotten about between the ZX11 and ZX12R. Let's give it some love!

the 84 was and still is the king in styling and reasonably comfortable to drive . i wish they make a retro model but lightened through technological upgrades
my first bike was a 99 zx7r and I had to get rid of it, man I really do miss that bike

i found the weight section useful. i often see it said that higher power bikes are warned against because they weigh more but some of the zx-10s are barely 20kg more than a ninja 400.

Great video of great bikes. Some of the figures are a little off (2012-2015 EPA tests for ZX14R, 210.7hp without Ram Air) 2016-2019 197hp) but what hell.
