I just picked up a cheap 2006 ZX6R off a colleague and this video has been invaluable to me. I now see how many bolts and fasteners my bike is missing XD

@@johnast yo are you in the states and what state if you are? I own a 06 zx6r that needs a little love since i dropped her and broke my collar bone last june. Bike is caged and everything so only cosmetic stuff like fairing were damaged. I think water has seeped through the gas tank since its been sitting garage stored since i went down. If youre interested in the whole bike as a parts bike, lemme know maybe we can work something out.

This is purely amazing 😍 I owns a 2013 ZX6R but no doubt the older zx6 is way much sexier especially with the under seat exhaust
I agree, the 03-06 636 styles have a special place in my heart. But those 13+ 636's are hott!
LED headlights. I put them on my 05 636 and what a difference. Not only at night but it also makes the bike look "newer". Great build man.
The new owner of this bike already has some LED headlights ready to install!

Looks killer! My 636 got stolen in Feb and I got it back three days ago, definitely going to use this as motivation.
I liked the way you went from start to finish in one video. Not keen on the rear pegs or the decals on the fairing but you have skills. Keep up the good work👍

I think this is one of the best rebuilds you've done along side the Honda Repsol rebuild, both bikes came out looking like showroom condition models even better than the one's that walk the catwalk..!

This by far my favorite bike even though I own a 2018. My heart will always be with my old faithful 05 Ninja 636. My she rest in peace.

And i think he put on the front tire the wrong way.
I have the same bike. 19,000 mi. Runs great handles well, new tires and I got her going 153 mph the other day. Stoked!

When you were putting on crash protectors it reminded me when I did the same with basic tools and the engine bolt snapped, my old man had the manual hand drill and I was there for an hour or so gnawing at it sweating and somehow managed to not fk things up. 😂 Bike looked fantastic after btw, you know your stuff.

Your rebuild video made me not give up on my 636. I just got it started up today after 3 months of constantly trying to figure out wtf was wrong with it because it wouldn’t fire up. Got the mechanical side figured out and now it’s time to turn her into a beauty. Thanks man
What ended up being wrong with it?
@@luckybguy owner prior to me snipped off the ground wire to the power commander. So the power commander wasn’t shooting fuel into the valves bc of the ground. Hella frustrating but man is she FUN to ride around

I have an 06 and gas lock was seized I took apart cleaned with fresh gas oiled it and put back together worked like a charm

Hi Rob, tell me your thoughts on this idea regarding the cluster mod.
I was thinking thinking of modifying it further by replacing LED that sits at the top ( red line ) with a red LED, what do you think? I’ll post a pic once I’ve done it… 😄👍

I have the same bike I'm also bringing it back to life its all black with gold triple tree and green spikes on the wind screen my gole is white carbon fiber wrap trimmed gold and gold pinstripes and green highlights where the wind makes down force nice livery

Great effort bringing this one back to life. A couple of observations:
1) First audio track was a bit too Alvin and The Chipmunks.
2) The blacked out look would have been perfect for this bike, given how bold the fairing colour scheme is. So perhaps black pegs, discs etc next time?
3) Custom gauge set up is excellent!
