Giving my friend a ride with the new GT50 88mm billet turbo turned down and it still spun ~900whp

Turbo S-box ford things. Btr cam, e85, VS racing prototype gt50 based billet ball bearing 88mm turbo.
Filmed in Mexico where they drive 80mph on the highway.

How's the response or lag? Displacement? I'm thinking about one of these for a 5.3 t56. Just don't want it to come on too late.

I wouldn’t put this on a manual transmission car unless it had more engine.
Because it’s ball bearing and the efficiency of the turbine, for being a quite large turbo it is responsive but if you give me a horsepower or airflow goal I could pick something a little more responsive. With manual trans you tend to want to err on the side of response over ultimate power. My car is a custom cam 5.3 with slight head work.
In a turbo automatic car, I dialed in boost by speed and with warm tires this is a sub 5 second 60-130 car with the old turbo.

@@TurboSleeper thanks for the info. My setup is a 5.3 stage 2 shelf cam 228ish 706 stock heads e85 and running nitrous 80 shot once in a while. Hoping for 8-900 to the wheels on boost alone. I was looking at this turbo, an s480 regular 96/88 turbine, or a g45-1500
