  • What's the difference between the various DeLonghi Dedica models? There is the EC680, EC685, EC785 and now the EC885. What gives? The Dedica has been around since 2013, originally released (and still being sold) as the EC 680. Since then, we have seen three newer models released, including the EC 685, the EC 785, and most recently the EC 885. Let us take a look at these different models, and their commonalities and differences. With this video, I hope to help decode the differences, and help buyers make their decision.

A man after my own heart. I’ve owned my Dedica for about a year now and have just absolutely loved this machine. All I want to do is mod and upgrade it rather than buy any more “serious” machine (as they say on the forums).
Also a question, do you know if there’s any difference between the numbered models and their “M” versions? for example EC680 and EC680M?
Thank you and keep the videos coming!

If these machines had a pressure gauge to help fine tune the grind size, they would be a superb machine for easily learning pretty much everything important about how to pull a good shot. They represent the best value for money when combined with a decent grinder.

give Dedica: cappuccino's zetten duurt langer

Tom, and others....its all Dutch, dont shoot the pianoplayer....BUT....I accentuated the most important info...read the text between the asteriscs ( stars) it says in Dutch the 785 metallic has 2 thermoblocks.
I am still confused if the word 'metallic' in the dessciption in fact is ment for the 850...but as you see they call the de Longhi with 2 thermo blocks 785!!! The 850 does not exist here.....So....maybe there is in europe a 685 , 785 and 785 metallic....would be confusing...I will write the firm Coolblue for explanation if there right with there claim of 785 .

@@pierrecharles1 no it has one thermoblock. I own one. So if you want to steam the milk first and then do an espresso you have to low the temperature first like all the others.

@@Vamire6666 yes your right. Only the types that are sold in Australia and New Zealand the 800 series have double blocks. The info in Coolblues shop is wrong about the metallic series in Europe and America

These are the worst coffee machines in the market. You pay what you get. The frother is rather week and messy. Add couple of hundreds and get urself the breville express.
