    Jason,
    Wow that is so cool to bring all into one tank like that. ❤ this is awesome looking fish. I got some new fish coming in for my 5 gal planted, a sparkling gourami as my center piece. I have some blue leopard danios going into my 20 long planted and some Dr. Fish for algae control. My 55 gal planted is getting finally 6 Congo tetras. And a few more rainbow fish. A golden Ram and a blue Ram. And a SAE to help with the black algae. I can’t wait to see the colors and the Congo tetras and that blueish hue and their fins are amazing. ❤

    That tank looks awesome! Jason your rock stacking skills have definitely improved lol. The only thing I would change is I would build a spray bar and intake with black pvc so it fully blends in to the background, Aquarium co-op has made videos on how to make both and the are very hard to see on a black background. I'm excited to see the rest of the scapes and if they all look this good you guys are gonna have one of the nicest fish rooms on CZcams.

    You could potentially place a double layer of light diffuser below the rock and where you want to place plants. I did this in a tank with C. saulosi, where I put dirt in the area protected by the diffuser, planted valisneria , and covered everything with sand and rocks. It kind-of worked: the saulosi have not distubed the dirted layer nor dug everything, but they ate the plants our of existence. For the past year they are breeding non-stop, and I periodically add large amounts of Java moss (which are gradually eaten) and try to re-home juveniles with my LFS.

  • @bobmorgan476
    @bobmorgan476 Před 7 měsíci

    That’s a good looking tank, Jason! The rock formations are cool, and certainly seem to make the fish feel right at home. Great choices for the fish, too! Nice Tanganyikan community! It’ll be an awesome backdrop, but get lots b-roll, too after you’ve added the shells and everyone’s settled in. I’d like to see a follow up video down the road.

    Aweeeeesome! Iam cycling in an 240litre Tank (ca 55gallon) at the Moment. Iam planning to cohouse Synodontis lucipinnis with Neolamprologus multifasciatus (my first half dozens multiplicated in 4 month quickly) and Paracyprichromis or Cyprichromis! Later in 2024 i want to build up an 100gallon Tank and then cohouse this Tank mates with another Tank mates of Julidochromis transcriptus (in 4month from a pair to over 25🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️) and Altolamprologus compressiceps Chaitika! So i enjoy your Video very much as somehing like a preview for my own tank(s)! Greetings from Black Forest Region in Germany ❤

I plan to upgrade to a 85 Gallon tank (325 Litre) My set up now : 1 pair Altolamprologus Compressiceps Gold Head, 4 N Caudopunctatus, 1×2 N Cylindricus. Do you think that I also can add a group of C Leptosoma in the sane setup in my coming 85 G tank ? I ask as N Cylindricus could be somewhat aggresive but they prefer to hanging around in the caves.

    So, this has NOTHING to do with your video other than you mentioned that you didn't want to do a true biotope.
    As a professor, you're as good and likely better than anyone else I would ask, so here it is.
    It has always been my understanding (and my understanding is often wrong) that the term "biotope" means building an exact replication of a specific location. Whereas, if you were building a "biotype," that would mean you're building a loose representation of an overall location.
    Is that close, or is that as wrong as Billy Madison's answer, where the judge/moderator needed to pray that God have mercy on his soul?
