  • London St Pancras piano is 'freed' after it was 'sealed off' following clash between piano blogger Dr K and Chinese tourists who demanded their faces were hidden in livestream
Brendan Kavanagh sparked a row with flag-waving Chinese tourists
The piano at the heart of a clash between a boogie-woogie pianist and flag-waving Chinese tourists at London St Pancras was last night 'freed' after it was 'sealed off' following the controversy.
Brendan Kavanagh, who goes by the name Dr K, sparked a row after he shared video showing the moment the Chinese tourists told him to stop filming them during a livestream from the station.
After the musician was accused of touching one of the women - an allegation he strongly denies - British Transport Police officers trundled over to the bust-up and told Dr K not to upload the clip to CZcams.
Images showed the piano 'cordoned off' with 'guards on either side' of the instrument, with boogie-woogie blogger Kavanagh adding in a video: 'You can't make this stuff up.'
New photos now show how the 'cordon' was 'lifted' last night, with passengers even sitting to play the instrument once again.
Speaking to TalkTV, Kavanagh slammed the police intervention and blasted the Chinese group's 'ludicrous' demands.
Hitting back against the piano blogger, one of the women involved accused Dr K of provoking them by referring to them as Japanese instead of Chinese, playing a 'discriminatory' song and constantly telling them 'we live in Britain, not in China'.
The woman also claimed they had been waiting to play the piano themselves for a Chinese New Year greetings video they were planning to film in the station.
She claimed the group asked Dr K to stop filming them after they realised he was livestreaming, adding: 'We kept waiting for over 40 minutes. He still played the piano for a long time. When I approached him his assistant kept filming and this was when I realised he was probably a content creator filming videos. But I didn't know he was live streaming at the time.
'So I asked can he delete his video because our content today is non-disclosable. It can't be made public in advance. He kept asking me questions and I really didn't know how to respond.'
Police officers later approached Dr K and warned him not to put the video on his CZcams channel. But Kavanagh interrupted and said: 'Listen, we're in Britain, we're in a public space, it's a free country.'
One of two police officers told the pianist 'this is not to go on your channel' as Mr Kavanagh kept on filming after the officers intervened.
The other officer told the Chinese tourist who had shouted at Mr Kavanagh that he had the right to film because he was in a public place.

Are these "visitors" unaware that in the U.K. there are government cameras EVERYWHERE. Sorry to shout but this is ridiculous.
Also doesn't the Chinese Government video their people 24/7?? as well as ALL visitors....24/7? They are not a free country.
It's too bad that the Chinese male felt it necessary to edit his video to slant the truth. I'll bet someone in China has managed to get ahold of the entire clip. I just hope that the clip "gets out" there. The thing is, if it does the Chinese government will go after them.....I would not be surprised if there is someone who passes out the uncut version in China they found themselves umm disappearing.....they are not a free people.

Commercial Filming from railway pages says rail enthusiasts and passengers who would like to take photos or film at our stations. You can take photographs at stations provided you do not sell them on to a company or stock image agency. That is considered commercial photography. so that is normal members public a free to take images no issues, but Commercial filming All filming requests, except for those listed below, are managed by our Commercial Filming team. Please visit the dedicated filming site for more information including contact details, fees and how to apply. Each railway related filming or photography request is reviewed on an individual basis. Access will only be granted to applications which are not disruptive for passengers and fall within our safety guidelines. as they had a plan be to be dictate i figure they trying to get around the paperwork, esp as they making propaganda for the ccp for Chinese new year they prob would got denied to film that my take on it, he was well within his right to do and say what he did and past vids ive seen him play with and even play together with people from china and people from all over Asia so he is sure not the R word, he spoken facts it that simple

Brendan is an awesome person. I love to listen to him play the piano. The piano was donated by Elton John, and he is aware of what happened, but he hasn't said anything as far as I know. I saw the Piers Morgan interview. The Chinese TV is showing clips of what happened and making Brendan look like a racist! They turned it around to blame him! However, there are video cameras everywhere in that station, and the entire incident was recorded. The guy who yelled at him was a jerk.
