I don't play, but I've been listening to the band for decades, usually turning up Malcolm's channel on my headphones. I'd say when in doubt, play the little pick-up notes and in-between eighth notes, because they're most likely in there. Case in point- sometimes people covering Riff Raff omit notes in a few places.

Sounds like the guitar might need some adjustment on the intonation. The dusty end takes no prisoners when using that E shape. Alternatively use the D string 9th fret and G string 11th fret and 13th fret.

Fantastic work as always, MalP. Here’s something you mightn’t know and may want to check out. An Aussie drummer in the 70s and 80s, Ray Arnott, was something of a session drummer for George Young and Harry Vanda. He released a couple of albums as a singer and Angus played on a track of one of the album, ‘Rude Dudes’, which featured a song call ‘On the run’. I believe that song was released before ‘Get it hot’ and it sounds quite similar. I’ve often wondered if Angus heard ‘On the run’ and decided to re-work it into ‘Get it hot”.
