Thank you for the video. I have been avoiding making lemon meringue pie for a very long time because every single time I made it my meringue weeped and got the sugar drops and just went all chewy and nasty. I will be trying this right away and have myself a beautiful lemon meringue pie for Xmas!

I found a trick for meringue that i would never have believed if i had not tried it,,,For 4 egg whites, add a half tsp cream of tarter, whip to a fluff, and add 1 seven ounce jar marshmallow cream, beat until stiff, its perfect and never weeps, I know it sounds strange but its perfect For a lemon pie I add a tsp lemon flavoring, for chocolate a tsp vanilla and for coconut a tsp coconut flavoring, I found this from a lady on youtube named Faye Thompson,

I wish somebody would show their “no weep” meringue pies after they start to cool down. I’ve tried everything I’ve ever seen on this subject. My pies do great initially but as they cool…..they start crying…..and so do I……..!! 😢😢

I agree you never see them after a good cool down. I bake for people so my pies cannot be eaten right away. I’m still on the hunt for a perfect meringue.

I've tried different ways and me and the pie still end up weeping lol. But I will try this and see if it works for me. I have several people wanting to buy some pies from me but I can't bear the thought of the presentation of it with the pie weeping/beading then when they cut it, it pools.. ugh! I'll come back with an update lol

The cornstarch tip is a new one for me. When you said what you did about overbeating the meringue, it made me remember how I've seen other videos which state when you add vinegar or lemon juice to your meringue, you can't overbeat it any. I'm now wondering if that is so. 🤪 I'm wanting to make some meringue cookies with chopped pecans in them, and, will use your techniques here (specially the one where you add cornstarch to your sugar) so they won't have the sugar bubbles as they've had, or, weep as they sometimes have done in the past when I've made them. TYSM for sharing this video with us . Lotsa good tips about making meringue. 👍

@@CollardValleyCooks We have had good luck with a GE, all electric glass top. Two years and no problems. Oven heats accurate and evenly. DO NOT purchase at BIG BOX STORES. Models are made cheaper for them to sell at a lower price point. Purchase from a local Appliance Store only that is a genuine dealer in good appliances. They try to sell quality because they do not want complaints and call backs. I made your BANANA Pudding for Sunday guest. It was a hit, but my meringue was not perfect. First try, though.
