In this video I did weighted jump rope every day for 30 days to see if I could build muscle and burn fat while transforming my strength. Weighted Jump Rope is an amazing exercise for building muscle. strength, and muscle endurance. I tested my shoulder strength on day 1 and again on day 30 to see if my 30 day weighted jump rope test would make me stronger. Weighted jump rope is an amazing exercise that can increase your fitness overall, and really help get you shredded. In this video I cover some weighted jump rope benefits. If you like Jump rope and want to have a great workout, I'd definitely recommend weighted jump rope! Hopefully you can give a weighted jump rope workout a try for yourself and see if you like it as much as me!
Have a great week guys! Cheers.
I can only imagine knocking myself out with a weighted jumprope
Same here bruv
@@palerider1979 crazy my first jump rope ever i got good with still to this day is weighted lol
😂😂😂
They weigh 2 pounds
@@theFriendlyGhstyou can get heavier one's
I legit have been doing 3 minutes, 12 rounds with a 30 second break in between with a 1lbs Crossrope. During the pandemic I did this everyday. It was rough at first but after a while I've conditioned myself to the point where it's just natural now. I've done it with a 2lbs crossrope as well and for fun I like use the 1/2 lbs. I've done it in every single weather you can think of. Hard wind, rain, snow, burning hot sun etc. P.S. I live in Vancouver too and can between frequently scene jumping rope at Robson Square Downtown at the ice rink during my lunch breaks. Doing this has made my overall fitness to the next level. It compliments my Martial Arts training (mainly kickboxing / Muay Thai) and do Dumbell Circuits, Kettlebell, and Medicine Ball training in-between. I very rarely miss a day and listen to my body all the time. I make these workouts as easy or as challenging as I want. #CONSISTENCYISPOWER 💪
I've moved up to the get strong set, I did 2 weeks of 1lb rope 1000 jump's a day then set a goal of 500 a day of 2lb, by the end of this week I've been jumping 4000a day 1000 on each rope rotating 200 a set.
ps I'm 59 jumping rope has helped me get my life back after a serious health issue.
That's impressive nice work Andrew
Wow well done
Shows your resilience getting through those first few rainy days. Way to go! Thanks for making these videos!
It's Vancouver, Lots of rain here.
I think regardless of the final tests you can really see the improvement over time in how comfortable you were with the jump rope! Great video.. Progress Over Perfection 🔥
AA my guy!
Great video. I feel it’s best to treat the weighted jump ropes like you do with weight lifting. I only use the 1 pound or heavier ropes every other day. Gotta give those muscles time to recover.
People who don't live on the West Coast can truly understand the pain of trying to exercise outside in the spring.
Try Canada 😅
the overcast bit got s good chuckle out of me, it really is a blessing to have a non-rainy day
Great editing, story telling and pace! Also jumping rope is waaaay harder than it looks and is probably the best cardio workout ever.
thoroughly enjoyed this
Did you do it again after a couple of days? Curious to see your best go. Congrats on the progress :)
One hell of a video. Thanks guys!
The 2 lb. rope is a KILLER, good luck! I've been using my CrossRopes for 2 years, and while they are expensive, it's some of the best $$$ I've spent for my health EVER! Also, I work out in my living room so I'm not dependent on the weather.
I workout on my deck or in the laundry room.
Love to hear that you've had a great experience with it!
I’m suffering with plantar fasciitis right now, I’ve had it for months and it means no jump rope! So frustrating, I can’t make it go away, usually it’s just a few days, if anything 😔
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope by the time you read this that you are better and have been working out. I have it not quite as bad: I have been suffering for four days with influenza A, and I had just bought my heavy rope hours before the symptoms started. I have this new "toy" waiting for me that I yearn to actually use.@@crumblebee6728
Great video... I started skipping with 1 and 3/4 pound ropes about a year ago. Super frustrating at first, but then things got better. I like to do things like 4-5 regular skips, then 4-5 alternating foot skips, then 2 left, 2 right and repeat. I found that if I just do the same thing, it gets pretty boring. Another cool pattern I use a lot is RLRRLRLL (I know, a paradiddle!). Do this fast and it feels great.
Thanks for the info 👍
As a Londoner I really feel that overcast celebration 🤣
YES!
Try living in Ireland, rains 24fvcking7
I have been using one for a little while. I really like it and am getting a good result.
Love to see you brothers together
Ahh, the joys of Vancouver weather! Great video as always.
Love C/R! I have every rope they make, I like them all.
Wish I had a jump rope mat...I feel it would help so much
I did 12 minutes straight 3lb rope. Check video out. It also made me more ripped. I'm using it to pre-workout for marathon training. As a 41 years old who drinks beer etc. 3lb rope is bad ass
@ Goal Guy .. What weight did u use with the jump rope
Awesome video
Does a good jump rope actually make a big differance bc i use a 3Euro jumping rope from a shop near my house? (:
Great video but even greater production and transitions 🎉
Thank you so much for sharing. I love at 6:39 how happy you look when your tricks work out!
Inorder to achieve something good we must sacrifice and be ready to go through pain and many discomforts. But at long last you. Will be happy with the results
Did you have any progress in the Vertical Jump?
I found your channel recently and you have done lots of 30 or 60 day challenges I have tried to start working out multiple times but I can't stick with it every time after a week or 2 I forget to workout then forget again then eventually I just don't work out and this has happened multiple times do u have any tips or anything for me about sticking with it and not forgetting or giving up?
Try to find an exercise you enjoy doing and set some goals.
If the issue is forgetting I would say trying setting a consistent time everyday that designated for exercise. Or make a to-do list the night before so you just have to look at it and you'll remember what you wanted to accomplish.
@@GoalGuys thank you
@@markusseppala6547 how do you find an exercise you like?
Can I suggest trying to improve your long jump for 30 days? Form and landing is a big thing in that so you can seek lots of improvements and I would love to see it!
That’s a great idea
Ive been using the One pound rope for about 7 months now and Im ready to upgrade to the 2 pound rope.
vancouver is really pretty!
Jumping rope is like skating that annoying boss in Elden Ring…
Once you finally accomplish it, you feel rewarded.
What is that scale at the end? Where did you guys get it?
We use the InBody Scale. It's pricier than your average scale, but because of how often when need to track our progress it's been a worthwhile investment for use.
Dear @Goal Guys,
I really have no damn idea you got still 384 thousand subs, you should have millions!!! This is so great and very inspiring of what you are doing in every single video. Thanks for the awesome videos and a question. Can your viewers suggest you any challenge to complete? I mean a good and healthy one so you choose out of the most popular. It would be WOW!
Good job
as a competitive jumproper, YES!
Great video but I really wish you bought a Pancho for the rainy days lol
Awww, rain...in Vancouver...you poor baby! - Northern Ontario
JK...Thanks for posting
How do you determine the amount of muscle mass u have? Note: I skimmed through the video.
Yea, in Thailand when training muay thai......the local thais all use the 1pd heavy rope with no shoes. They do it twice everyday for 15 minutes straight. It's nuts.
Without shoes!? That’s insane, I have doubts on using my first newly bought 1lb rope without shoes.
10:08 that biceps vein
What brand of BMI scale is that and do you fully believe in it?
We use the InBody Scale. It's expensive, but we thought it was a better investment then going for DEXA scans with every challenge. Like almost anything there is variance, but if you use it constantly you do see how your trending with fat loss or muscle gain.
How long the rope take to break
at 6:30, I see heat waves eminating from the shoulders. OWW!!
Your before and after pictures look both amazing now... Maybe start to transform your viewers next? :)
Haha, maybe!
Jump rope is a great workout, there are many Level to reach
It always looks so cold where you live
Mainly it's just overcast. But this has been an exceptionally rainy year!
3lb jump rope and for me upper body was fine it was my calves and hamstrings that had me tapping out at a minute
Whats the mat under his feet thats he's jump roping on what's the purpose of it
protects the rope from the gritty/rough ground and also gives a bit of cushioning when jumping.
Sir .need diet .in doing jump rope?
I noticed that you are using a pad whenever you are jumping rope. Is that just for looks? Or is it to protect your rope from fraying? Or?
it is to protect your joints from impact while jumping on hard surface
nice
I don’t know where you guys are at but it’s a beautiful view would love to work out there💯
Thanks, we're Vancouver based.
I am pretty sure last time I saw you, you had hair. This guy is turning into One Punch Man!
Cross ropes are the best. I have the full set 💯💯 jump rope dudes #dothething 🇨🇮
in which country do you live?
"Train your upper body like a bodybuilder and your lower body like an athlete".
I’m struggling to learn with a normal jump rope, is investing in a cross rope really going to help me out? It’s so expensive man
Yes a crossrope or any weighted ropes(the ones where the ropes are weighted not the handles) make learning jump rope much easier and they don't tangle unlike speed ropes or normal ropes
It's possible. They will send ropes that are specific to your height which helps, but I would wait and see if Jump Rope is something you want to continue before making an investment.
@@GoalGuys I’m starting off with 90 sec intervals for half an hour and I’m getting better it’s like this video gave me more hope haha. I think I’ll definitely invest in one when I can part with the money 💪🏼
So for a guy who can’t do a single push-up, has shit cardio and always gets confused in workouts so he rarely does them, is this the answer?
Hi
Dude! You're literally Mastar Media's twin 😮
You guys should do something about basketball
We've done one basketball video. But we do want to try more!
@@GoalGuys That would be great
This is the best advert 😆 Would have been better if you'd measured your shoulders and forearms with a tape measure and not continued doing upper body work at the gym to isolate the improvement a bit more.
My forearms struggle so much with weighted rope
Weighted jump rope, I can’t even use a regular skipping rope!
Weighted ropes (like the 1/2 LB) are actually easier to use than regular (light, plastic) jump ropes. The added weight slows down your rotation and lets you feel the rope turning around your body so you can time your jumps better. It's a completely different jumping experience
strenght and endurance, go for a kettlebell man
Weighted jump rope + kettlebells are a killer combo 🔥
I got a weighted jump rope that is 1lb! That shit ain’t no joke.
I’d like to get a crossrope but they are so expensive.
Amazon do there own branded jump rope. It's really good and does the same job.
Now you complete your challenge so kindly deliver this rope to me 😊
You should have used a weighted rope instead of a rope with weighted handles.
Can we replace cardio workout with 30 mins of daily jumprope-ing?
They did a video on the subject
I wouldn't suggest daily jumping from the outset, but jumping rope can 100% replace your cardio
Jump roping is cardio do the exercises you enjoy
If you do daily, especially at the start, remember to stretch your calves regularly to help prevent shin splints
@@coldbane2598 I think for the 1st week it's best to do it every other day, you will ache alot. Even being fit it's a different sort of workout to anything else so takes getting used too.
Kinda weird your brother cam still has a Dad body after all that jump rope lol
The progress in the thumbnail has a huge difference between day one and day 30😂
That crossrope is so overpriced! $120?!
the world is really unfair, took me a few months to master criss cross smh lol
Is this a re-upload?
I wondered that, too, but it was the other brother in the first video.
Cam Gaining weight, i think its time for a new Month goal from him?!?
Loooooool!!!
Second
Jump rope is so hot. 😩
Still no traps and neck challenge huh? Smh
Rip knees
Lower impact than running
This is horrible for strength training. You'll only get good at jump roping. You're progressively overloading jump roping. That's really it.
Curious what you mean by this "You're progressively overloading jump roping"
@@srdjanpopovic9243 they have no idea. Just talking
I've been jumping with 1 and 2lb ropes for 5 months and before I struggled doing muscle ups, now I can knock 4-6 and still have juice for additional pull ups. Weighted jumping roping provides so many strength, cardio and athletic benefits.
Thanks Chad
