Big thanks to Got Friends for giving me the opportunity to fly their new F4F-4 Wildcat in the sim. We take a look around the aircraft and then go for a flight in the local area to have a look at the included features.

With all these warbirds being released, it would be nice if Microsoft would bring back a new version of Combat Flight simulator. Maybe include a dynamic Campaign.

You guys did a great job, Wildcat is not even in my WWII Warbird wishlist, however I like what I see, a lot of work, attention to details and originality. This one will share hangar with my beloved Corsair.

Yes they’ve done a great job with the sound. Such a key part of the immersion.
Did you lock the tail wheel prior to landing ?? ? Suspect not 😉

I presume you are on MSFS but as an OAP I can not afford to change so stuck on MSF Steam, but love it.
I note your problem with the Check list and I have my solution which may not work with MSFS.
I have two screens , a wide screen running the program & a 15" monitor combined .
On the Monitor I show Check Lists, Moving Map, ATC, GPS, & even another outside view which looks much more "real" within the confines of old MSF.

Many thanks! Yes I don’t think I made it clear in the video. I usually use a printed checklist but as the manual wasn’t available with this pre-release version I used that one. You are right though, I have a couple of extra screens for little navmap, Discord, Navigraph and couldn’t fly without them now!

Another triumph. Your cracking vid, amigo, but the USN Wildcat too. Nothing beats a huge sullen radial that fires up when it wants.
If I'm not putting the military birds upstairs, I have Gotfriends' Golden Retriever as P2. I love their attitude, which carries through all they do.

I think a lot of that “real” look comes from all the different materials and associated light reflection off of them. Too many Addons use just Matt finish everywhere leaving interiors looking cartoonish. This looks like a labour of love.

Sadly I am more into old aircraft Fokker F28 than warbirds..But love Duxford to fly into and out.. You do excellent watchable videos, you bring all these products to life.. Wish you would do a review on the Fokker re VOR navigation for future Beyond ATC prep..Re Duxford I adore Micks add on scenery.. it is a shame he could not do a WW2 Duxford add on with spits Hurricanes old vehicles.

On my side, I've been using the Tobii eye tracker 5 and I can't believe how much immersion these devices add... amazing!!!

If only MSFS simulated combat which these unique aircraft were designed for, feels like your only getting half the experience.
Depends on what you are flying it for. In MSFS I fly warbirds as if they are restorations in the moderns world so getting the full experience. If I want some combat I jump into something like IL-2.

What do you mean?
It better have engine overheating and cooling modeled. Or they can keep it. If you can run this plane at emergency war power indefinitely without catastrophic engine failure I will not be buying it. Model the consequential engine damage for improper power settings Flying iron has set the standard. There are limitations to operating these aircraft!
I am sure all will be revealed as the manual etc is released but I wasn’t taking any chances just in case!
