Nice sightseeing video! You definitely over-torqued it on the first go and destroyed the main gearbox. On the second start, too much throttle at start, and it over-torqued again. The first sign is the chip light, if it stays above redline more stuff breaks :) for starting, you want to roll on throttle just until it pops the idle stop, then push the idle stop and roll it back just under the button pop position.

Loved the video and the scenery. I have actually been there on a yacht. Not quite the same as a helicopter pilot flying around daily which would be awesome but I can say it absolutely stunning! Also, you mention you using the warthog set up and I think a Vergil stick? Is that right? What’s your idea set up for helo’s ?

Nice, I have been having issues with my Huey such as Handling issues no matter how I trim, it will not fly correctly, I checked the weight and balance and the C.O.G is way out and can't be altered 🤷🏻 other than that it's a great ad-on 👍

Hi there. I do love the HPG 160 - it can however quite frame rate heavy (especially in VR. What I do like about it is that it has a great autopilot. Are you aware of any other helicopters in the sim that have an autopilot capability ? Thanks. Paul.

I flew into Sandown today in a PA28. The graphics in this video are really stunningly realistic, even down to the small details. I've previously downloaded the Burning Blue Lee-on-Solent, Popham and Goodwood airfields which are also very impressive. It's just a pity that the surrounding Microsoft default buildings are so unrealistic.

It's generally a good idea to >close< the doors, before starting the engine - unless you want them to become FOD. Not so much the big slidey ones, but definitely the little flappy ones at the front. :P

Don’t be put off by first take off! After restarting (and remembering where the collective biting point is in the Huey)all went smoothly!

Couple of thoughts re: the problems. I haven't had any control oddities come up so my guess is first as you mentioned, you might need to set up dedicated controller profiles for this. The failures can be disabled on the clipboard, maybe start that way as you adjust your controls. They recommend that you uninstall the previous version before installing the new one so something to check too. My experience with this update so far - failures disabled - is that the flight model is tamer then the last, very easy to fly. Re: collective, on my controls there's a large throw (range of movement), and I need about 80% movement to get to a hover. That seems to match everything I've seen on YT vids of the real thing.

This looks amazing! Lucky enough to have actually been to Moorea many years ago, and also be a Heli Pilot in real life, though not done both at the same time unfortunately! 😂😂 The automated Helipad take off was interesting. I fly the AW109E in real life which is a 3 axis autopilot so can not say how it should behave, I did notice though that the TDP was displayed at 130ft and the helicopter appeared to be just sat at that altitude so maybe it needs some further command as to what to do when it gets there? Seriously considering getting the H160 for MSFS, however I am now tempted to just wait and see what MSFS2024 will bring!

Another excellent video showcasing the excellent Burning Blue Designs. Just wondered how you get to take off in the spit with the canopy open? I’ve tried it and mine just fails as it says I’ve overstressed the aircraft 🤔 is there a setting you have to change ?

Another superb video. Thank you. I've only flown into Sandown 3 times, twice in a Super Cub and last time in an Aerobat. Looks a lot different since was there last. Always remember was a little bumpy (like Compton Abbas) and that there was a footpath which ran across the runway on the Western Approach. And the dumped Norman Fieldmasters in the grass behind the Tower.

MSFS 2020 has been amazing the last couple of years. Lets hope the scenery popping we see gets resolved in 2024. What we see at time approx 26:34 is an immersion killer.

Thanks for a great showcase! The atmosphere of any Burning Blue Design is amazing. Sandown looks a lovely field, full of character. I do hope in the future, we'll see one of A2A's long awaited warbirds from FSX in MSFS2020/ 24 or maybe the T-33 project that sadly never the light of day. Burning Blue have done absolute wonders for UK flying.

I have actually flown into Thurrock before, back in Spring 2022 and I’m very impressed by the level of detail shown here. Even the bench outside the pilot lounge where I had my lunch is faithfully recreated!

Hi and thank you for a wonderful show. I am really impressed with how far flight simulation has come. If all student pilots would use this to train, life of a flight instructor would be so much easier. Speaking of instructing, would you mind if I gave you some feedback? On your walk around. As you said, the battery drains fairly quickly with the pitot heat on, also if you turn on the heat with the cover on, it melts and you are in a world of trouble. So you start your walk around with the battery off, after you have completed the round and removed all the bits and covers, turn on the battery, pitot and lights, walk back to the pitot heat, observing the lights as you go, and feel it slowly heat up. Walk back the other way round, observing the other lights and set the battery switch back off. Another point is the soft-field takeoff technique, if I recall correctly, it should be done with two notches of flap, and preferably be a rolling takeoff in stead of a static takeoff, reason because it could be dangerous to get stuck in the soft ground on the runway. I applaud your landing in Bambridge, beautiful crosswind technique applied. That’s an airport I’ve visited a few times to bring and collect Islanders from maintenance. The scenery looks magnificent. So thanks again for sharing your video. It’s a joy to see a review and proper treatment of an aeroplane at the same time. All the best!
