    One of my favorites fot warn summer nights...Dior Ambre Nuit is similar but 40 Knots has a salty Accord. Much better performance with 40 Knots. Thanks for the content. Be safe.

    Great review as always Peter, but I don't gravitate towards this house.
    Yesterday I bought Dior Eau Sauvage EdT which is an awesome classic from 1966 and still for a reasonable price. These quality classics steal my heart more often then new releases and most niche scents. Gave it a full wearing today and it's such a wonderfull (gentlemen's) scent for the warmer days.

      So true ,
      I have the og and some flankers. All are reminiscent of the good ole days. 👊

      @@ScentTrail I heared the OG is better/ dencer then the new release with the magnetic cap these days, but even without this comparisson, to me it is solid.

    I really enjoy Bois Du Portugal from Creed and Amouage Interlude for a higher level fragrance profile!

    I want you share me your opinion about this , please :
    If you would choose only one fragrance between Layton Exclusif & Xerjoff 40 Knots , which one would you pick ?
    I know there are no similarity between both , but currently I can pick up only one .
    I have smelled both , I like both , but I still confused to choose :)
    My appreciation in advance

      I'd go with Layton for an all year scent. 40 knots for summe.

    Would you recommend 40 knots or renaissance?

      I don't currently own Renaissance , so 40 knots is the one I've been wearing. Thanks for watching 👊

    Nice review as usual! 😉 For me personal I found all those "luxury" brands way overpriced and not worth the money. For me, if a fragrance is more than 2 euro / ml, I won't even bother to try it.
    €2 / ml is my personal hard limit. There are a hell lot beautiful frags available for in that price range, and a lot of them will smell equally great or even better, sophisticated, well blended, with quality ingredients.
    So I don't need all the Xerjoff's, Roja's, Creed's, Du Bois's, certainly no Bond No9's or Byredos's...
    Like you say... have some money to burn? Go ahead

    • @ScentTrail
      @ScentTrail  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Tobias,
      Yes it is hard to spend that kind of money, especially these times. 😪
      However, I do like the Xerjoff brand. Performance is one of the best. As far as the Creeds.
      I have to admit im a fanboy 🤣🤪. Zero interest in Fragrance du Bois. Customer service is awful.
      What are you wearing in the heat at 100 degrees?

    • @tobiasnagel2767
      @tobiasnagel2767 Před 2 lety

      @@ScentTrail Yeah... everyone has his own limit. For some ppl even paying €2 / ml is outrages. So if it's worth for you and you can afford it just go and get it. Why not.
      These hot days I'm wearing Guerlain L'Homme Idéal Cologne, Givenchy Gentlemen Cologne, Frapin L'Humaniste, Simone Andreoli Malibù, Issey Miyake L'Eau Bleue d'Issey Eau Fraîche.... to name a few :)

    • @ScentTrail
      @ScentTrail  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't have the Frapin...what does it smell like.
      Good choices otherwise ✌️

    • @tobiasnagel2767
      @tobiasnagel2767 Před 2 lety

      @@ScentTrail L'Humaniste is let's say, simply put, a high-end version of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche. But a lot more interesting and deeper. It's not a screamer or longevity monster but very very beautiful!
      You should at least try it once!

    • @ScentTrail
