That's not how it works. There are animals for the meat industry and there animals for the fur industry, there is no economic deal that makes them interchangeable. At least definitely not in the mainstream, whatsoever. The fur industry is extremely cruel, it's very rare to hear of free-range fur. By far, a very large majority of the animals in the fur industry are encaged for their entire life, suffer immensely as you'd imagine from countless consequences of that and lack any sort of freedom.
Also, remember that following this incident, Lady Gaga defended Kim and wearing fur.

The life expectancy for humans has increased drastically from back then so as the population grows so will the demand for products such as fur and meat. The planet is already overpopulated and will only continue to be so. So now we have a species that is smarter and there for stronger than everything else, has control over almost all the inhabitable world, over extends to meet demand and then some, has no predators (other than other humans), and will only continue to cure diseases as time progresses. I’m no activist or anything, I love to eat meat and I’m literally laying on a fur blanket right now ☠️ All I’m saying is that we’re gonna hit our ceiling pretty soon in this generation or the next. Other smaller countries are already feeling the effects of this.
