@Robert M the fans give artists support, the artists reward them with their work, i.e. music, songs, albums, concerts, presence. That is the quid pro quo, a fair exchange. The artists do not owe them anything else. Everything else that come as benefits from the support is fully entitled to the artists for all their hardwork.

But if you have a thousand dollars to blow for maroon 5 the assumption is you have a family member who has a lot of money and could give them business connections.
