Thank you so much for posting this. I am going to begin caring for a child in a wheelchair in a few weeks and this video has been very reassuring. I can see that transferring is very simple as long as care is taken. Thank you again.

How about a power wheelchair and a hoyer lift to save the Moms back
even when she is not pregnant. Their must be some agency who would
buy both the power wheelchair and a hoyer lift plus a hospital bed. The
school district should be buying this equipment instead of a cheap
manual chair for a pregnant woman , who should not be doing brake
backing work being esp pregnant or when not pregnant. Even for a
man it would still be brake backing work. The special school he no
dought is in owes you to buy all that equipment. Even if he can't
control a power chair, it would be much easyer for his Mom to push
a attendent control on the back of a power wheelchair and a hoyer
lift. A wheelchair van with a manual ramp to roll the wheelchair in
would save a lot of the break backing work. If the manual chair is
acceptable if he can't control a power chair is bad enough but 2
musts is a hoyer lift and a van with a manual ramp to roll him in
in his wheelchair. Life would be a lot easyer. The School System
must buy this while he is in school. Just telling you to make
life a little easyer. Good Luck your wonderful parents Eli is lucky
    to have you.
