- The first contingent of more than 400 Kenyan police officers arrived in Haiti on Tuesday as part of a UN-approved peacekeeping mission in the Caribbean country that has been ravaged by violence in recent months. Residents in Haiti are hopeful that this long-delayed mission will bring a turnaround to the current situation.

The police you see in Haiti are paramilitary forces,of the GSU(Gifted strategic unit) and the RDU(Rapid Defense unit) this two units have police and military training,they are the second tier police force,that cool clashes and upraisals in Kenya,the ones running against rioters in Kenya,are from NPS(national police service) the first tier unit.....this ones in Haiti only avail themselves for special occasions,their training is excessive and aggressive,they can operate strategically in all conditions,they are skillful in hand combat,and guerrilla warfare...
