- I turned my Low Rider ST. into a proper touring bike. Biggest problem with this model is lack of storage area on long haul touring. No-one currently has a good option/solution to mount a full size tour pack on the bike.
Well - Problem solved !
I found the combination of rack and tour Pack to get enough storage capabilities for the long trips planned!

Nice solution, Sandy. Now you need to get a seat with a pillion, and figure out how to make that license plate more visible. Hooking up that LED over the plate may suffice. Thanks for showing the wrench work too.👏

Looks great! Just never realized how small those side cases are. Pair of size 13’s and a change of clothes is all you’re getting in those. Tour pack is a great idea. Just gotta relocate that plate.
I put the HD Advanblack tour pack on my Challenger. Perfect paint match. Great price. Long wait, but worth it.
I am saving this video so that I can find this exact setup when I finally get to the point where I am ready to get my lowrider st. Looks SUPER good on the bike.

Oh man, thank you! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve got the Edward Richie sissy bar on my bike now, which gives it more of a “young man” look, but I’m all about the chopped tour packs. Great video man! Loving the content!
Just went to the Amazon link and it looks like they are currently sold out. Dang! Do you know if this mount is the same fitment as what you would find straight from H-D? H-D is backordered 8 weeks and is 4x the cost, but just wondering if you had any insight on that. I'll keep an eye out for the rack you linked!
Glad your install went well, looks great!!!!. I am not so sure of Advanblack and their customer service. On memorial weekend I ordered the rear fender extension with the holiday 10% off sale but I never received a confirmation email for my order. Later the same day I sent their customer service an email telling them of my problem so I wouldn't lose my discount. It even said on their website that they always respond within 1 day, well it's a week later and still not a word from the jerks. For all their advertising, they SUCK!!! I will probably look elsewhere for my fender extension and extended saddle bags.
Looks sick! I was just sitting on the ST and a street glide. I really liked the ST better then the street glide for the way I feel sitting on it. But don’t want to cut myself short with not having the full size Bagger. But this does give me another option! ST is sounding better! Great videos also!

This is fantastic! I'd really like to have a touring bike, but don't want one that weighs 800 or 900+ pounds. I think this is the perfect solution for someone my size 5'9" 150 lbs. You get the bags and all of that, minus a couple hundred pounds. (I believe the Low Rider St is 720 lbs. plus whatever the tour pack weights)
I have a Pan America, and one of those bags is smaller than the other. Its the new cool kid thing. This is a game changer for this bike. It looks great!!!

Most adventure bike the bags are like that it’s nothing new .
I'm looking hard at the ST and your video answered my only objection, Storage.
Personally I think it would look better without the back rest.
A few ergonomic upgrades
like floor boards and barbacks= Perfect.
I wouldn't be surprised in some places if the cops pull you over for an obscured license plate like that though... You may be able to add a spot on the rack for the license plate, and just move it when you have the tour pack on.
I'd much rather have a sissybar and stack up some luggage, but you did a good job on that, it looks pretty good.
Get a luggage rack for your tour pack. Then you can get a Rik Rack bag and mounting system. You won't regret it.
There are old bikers. There are bold bikers. There are actually quite a few of old bold bikers. I don't know for how much longer though. Great content. Tks

I just can't do it. The tour pack looks so "old man riding a couch" to me plus the nelson rigg bag I got easily holds double what any tour pack does. Glad you found a solution that works for ya though. The paint match looks good.

Hey, tour pack looks good! Just wanted to point out one issue that might be a problem to you. Your license plate is not visible with the tour pack on your bike. If the license plate is not visible you will get stopped and end up with a ticket. I would love to meet you, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to see my lights in your mirrors. Be safe!

This was filmed by him in a standing position. I'm willing to bet a person sitting in a car behind the bike can see the plate. Electra Glides prior to 2008 had the plate in the same position.
This is why i purchased an ultra with a removable tourpak, plenty of storage and comes with everything i need.
I would put some lights on the back of the tour pak seems like it needs it, make it yours!

I agree . It’s a lot of different shades in different angles that make it change. But on bike it looks exactly the same
It’s a good idea of a solution, i think that the tour pack has 2 be moved more
forward 2 the driver seat 2 c the lichens plate! U can may be use the pack
4 a back rest!

I would prefer to have a bag strapped to the back versus that big tour pack. However you do what makes you happy. I think you are going to do something more for your license plate and additional rear lighting.
The stock Sport Glide 2-up seat will fit the ST and complete the look for you.
Looks GREAT Sandy. I'd run the tourpak 24/7 just to bust balls with the EZPass cameras......LOL
Thanks for the docking hardware tutorial. I just got the hardfast docking kit and got a little confused. You straightened that out quickly. Just got my ST today. I play of getting a sissy bar and a two-up. Then I'll use the barrel/storage that my wife got me some years ago. Acts as a back rest. Gotta get used to the mid-controls....might get floorboards.

Love it! But 2 concerns. One the plate is covered a lot. And 2. What aftermarket seats will actually work with it?
Saddleman 2up seat actually does work on it.Just like the lowrider s and others. Just make sure you order it for the year of bike you have.

@@red.riot.2280 pretty sure the tour pak starts where a normal quick disconnect backrest does so the seat would stop just in front of it.
Put a low profile, black, Metal Sport tour pak top rack on that and a rick rack or similar bag and you will be all set. The low profile Metal Sport racks look great.

Personally I’m not thrilled with any of the H-D offerings.. anything made after 2019. Low pro tires, bigger wheels… heftier price tags…. Odd-ball sized saddlebags? No thank you. That passenger isn’t going to like sitting on that nice steel fender…. But as long as it makes you happy, that’s all that matters .😊

You know they make that same bracket in a solo version? It moves the tour pack forward so the backrest is there for the rider, and not your empty fender... Awesome mod though!
I would be all over the LRST if the bags weren't asymmetrical. I can't stand it lol... WHY DIDN'T THEY USE A 2 INTO 1 AND HAVE SYMMETRICAL BAGS!!?!? They even have exhausts that would work in their current production...

Looks better with the Tour pack
Harley sells a quick disconnect bracket that moves the tour pak to the passenger position. The tour pak can be used as a back rest.

I don't have the part number, but I know Harley sells the bracket.
@D.Papas I used that HD "Solo" tour pack rack on my 2018 Street Bob, but it isn't wide enough for the FXLRS or FXLRST. FXBB rear tire is 150/80H-16. FXLRS/ST is 180/70B-16. HD doesn't offer the solo version for the wider fender. Your only option is a two-up rack version from 3rd parties like the above company... for now.
Though it was going to look funny with the tour pack but that bike looks bad ass sandy. 👍👍👍👍👍👌

Some paint won't match exactly because they have fit different batch numbers let's see if you can find the same batch number

I'm not big on pizza boxes but that is clean. It's so hard not to get 400.00 month payment if I wasn't trying to buy a house ahhhh roadking and Indian chief has always been my dream bikes but that st came out ahhhh. It's got clearance it's slim the fairing not street or road glide big. I can tear up the twisty and chill ya literally made it harder on me.

I don’t know what Harley was thinking when they made the bags 2 different sizes. Good looking bike but so dumb the right bag is smaller. Especially since pretty much no one keeps the stock pipes.
Brother, love the channel, I need the stock black muffler shields only, please keep me in mind when and if you change the exhaust.
You need a passenger pad. That would fill the gap between the front seat and the tour pac
