Our last trip of the year over to the West Coast of Scotland. This time we're looking to see if going off grid for the whole 10 days is something we can do on a regular basis.
Hi, We drove through the same area in May. No midges to spoil a wonderful trip. I would recommend going that bit further and visit the Outer Hebrides. Not too many caravan sites but the scenery, especially the white sand beaches is wonderful. Fascinating history and very welcoming people.
Shame about the weather its bin a dreadful summer. Glad your getting on ok. Your awning be fine ours is a Dorema Air awning (a big full one) bin up in all storms. 😂. Take care . Alison. X
We were near there last summer, weather was just the same, the only shiny afternoon we did get we got bitten alive by the midges who also got through the fly screens ! Good to see the solar's working out and saving you some pennies! 👍
Sorry you’ve had so much rain while in Scotland. If you catch good weather, you really can’t beat it. We did the West Coast in June and the weather was amazing.

Nice trip. Our new fridge means we are not even hooking up at home LOL. We love the rain on the van great to doze off to.
Yes the sands around Loch Morar are just sooo white. I loved it there! But that was many years ago

Solar is ticking along nicely 👌. Saving us £10 a night on this site. The portable panel has paid for itself many times over.
