People who believe in lala land that the cops are going to be able to respond quick enough are delusional. No hate to cops, but it is the reality of a department stretched thin. As you said you are the only one that's capable of protecting yourself and your loved ones. Just make sure to get legal protection cause you know delusional DA are out to get ya after trying to defend your home or loved ones.

If you do defend yourself in CA, then you have to worry about being prosecuted as a murderer. The criminals are treated as victims. There was the case in LA last year where the guy lawfully defended himself on his own property and had his carry permit taken away for no reason

Law enforcement nationwide has collapsed. Officers quiting or retiring ASAP while California State government wants residents disarmed and dependent. I was a licensed handgun instructor and worked California law enforcement before retiring to Texas Hill Country. I applaud this woman.👏

What does she mean "Licensed gun owner"? You don't need a license to own a firearm. You have a Constitutional right to own and possess firearms. And you have the right to defend yourself just like any other State. You do not need a license to purchase or own/possess firearms in the State of California. You are restricted as to how you use them in a defensive situation. You are restricted as to which weapons you can purchase.
Buying a gun in California legally is too hard for some people most people dont want to drive 40 minutes to a gun store (because the state closes them all) then to be told “you have to bring in a utility bill and wait 10 days” you should be able to walk in and walk out with a gun. The people committing crimes with guns don't have to show utility bills they'll just buy an uzi out of somebody's trunk outside a gas station. And then the guns you can legally own in california are far less powerful than what criminals have. A wacky looking rifle with no grip and 10 rounds vs the home robber with a mac 11 full auto. Also guns cost alot more in california due to regulations compared to other states.
@@DRob-gq3ki I agree with you on some points.I would say if a person lives 40 minutes from a sporting goods store than it's likely they also live 40 minutes from a police station or any first responders and it would be wise to have the tools needed to defend yourself in the event trouble comes around.Not too many citizens or criminals are packing fully auto anything in this state. UZI and Mac 10s are a dated and not very controllable. I can think of several off the shelf weapons available in California that are better suited for gunfighting than old school PCRs and SBRs you mentioned.
She means an HSC (Handgun Safety Certificate) in California . You have to take a multiple choice test and can only miss 2 of about 30 questions. The HSC is required in order to buy handguns and is valid for 5 years. Some people mistakenly call it a license.

The police are under no obligation to protect you or your family. Home invasions are often carried out by groups of people so these magazine restrictions are both stupid and dangerous because criminals don't care and don't have them. Get rid of these laws that disarm the law abiding public. Get rid of the handgun roster, arm yourself and get training. It is your constitutional right to do so and regardless of the law, if you're dead because you couldn't protect yourself legally, you are still good. Good on this lady for doing the right thing!

Called 911 when we saw a vehicle getting stolen on san pablo. We followed the thief from a distance. Dialed 911 and I was more amazed I was on hold for a dispatcher. We ended up passing the police department that's in Albany.
