What are you mixing with the water to thicken? Cornstarch? I don't see that in the recipe. Looks amazing
That would be cornstarch as that is always mixed with cold water on a one to one basis, probably Nablus two tablespoon s of cornstarch there or possibly three.

I'm going to try the bourbon but for some time I have add Peach Schnapps to mine, done basically what AB does here. As AB says keep it simple and easy for a great homemade taste.

Yummy old-school cobbler with the bottom crust - so legit!!! ❤
I've been making this exact recipe for almost 20 years now And it never fails. The only variations I have made over the years have been to add a crumble topping in addition to the crust only because it's the preference of half of my family. So basically I would put a crumble topping on top of the lattice and try to get it in between the squares so that both the crust and the crumble will cook on top evenly. But yes this is the rest of the I've been using since forever. I have been wondering though, what it would taste like with Crown Royal peach or even apple. Maybe I'll try that this year.
