    Finally, an honest-to-goodness "old-fashioned" cobbler recipe. The cobbler recipes using a batter did not come about until the early sixties, as I recall.

      @lesliedavis6081 Před rokem +4

      Tammy’s recipes are ALL delicious. So this is NO KNOCK on her at all, but just a suggestion. They call it a blind bake. So put some dried beans on the bottom crust before you pour in the peach mixture. Bake that at 350 degrees for like 10-15 (keep an eye on it). Then pull it out and let cool for a bit. Then pour in your mixture. It guarantees you won’t have a soggy bottom. To be honest, you don’t have to have the bottom crust if you don’t want. You could just scoop it out with the crust on top.

    i keep coming across these cobbler recipe videos where the baker is not only using a pie crust but also adding a bottom crust and it hurts my soul. 💔💔
    1) cobbler does not have a bottom crust, which is the main difference between a cobbler and a pie.
    2) traditionally, cobbler is topped with biscuit dough.
    i'm all for modifications and making classic dishes your own but i wish people would stop calling a square fruit pie a cobbler. it's very misleading.
    the final product does look good though. 😭😭
