Switch repair (without replacement) Henry Hoover Vacuum Numatic NVR 200-22

How to repair a faulty switch on a Henry Hoover NVR 200-22 vacuum cleaner without having to buy a new switch.
Replacing the switch costs money, takes time for it to arrive in the post and is a waste of resources if your original one can easily be fixed.
If your vacuum is used somewhere dirty like a workshop, then the switch units can easily fill up with sawdust and dirt, stopping it make a connection.
This applies to both the power switch and hi / low speed switch if it has one.
