That pic of the Emperor on a sinple golden throne surrounded by candles is beautiful beyond words. I imagine that’s how the Ecclesiarchy sees when they think of Him: just this divine, angelic, but clearly decayed being, eternally suffering for the sake of the Species that he loves.
