Nagesh plays the lead role in the movie. Nagesh lives a contended life of a waiter with his mother. He falls in love with K.R.Vijaya who frequents the hotel he works but K.R.vijaya is not interested. I had heard this for fifty years. Just now I heard again and involuntarily clapped - an exceptional melody, great poetry and fantastic singing. The overall effect is mesmerizing and I close eyes to be in dreamland. Hats off to all the artistes concerned. it is a stroke of genius to bring the parrot into the scene and build a song around it.
