That is true, there is definitely a recall. However, most manufactures will face recalls, especially during a first model year. It is true, Toyota is definitely taking a leap of faith with this new model and all new powertrain and only time will tell how it holds up. From what we can tell though, in terms of space and power, it definitely delivers. In terms of safety and build quality, time will tell.

@@theopenroadobsession5348yes, most do recalls, except no other manufacturer have people mindlessly spending money on them while reciting the mantra “most reliable”, “most reliable”, “most reliable”, while paying ridiculously more than it’s worth! It’s been YEARS since I started hearing Toyotas having all kinds of issues
Yes m, including mechanical and safety issues
By now it’s not any better than Mazdas or even (non-cvt) Nissans
 So, yeah
Let’s be honest about it, and bring Toyota out their pedestal! About time they’re made to pay more respect to us, consumers! THE LOW PRODUCTION SCHEME TO JUSTIFY JACKED UP PRICES ALONE should be more than enough to make EVERYONE revolt and not buy a single unit again until they have their production back to normal! It’s 2024 and they’re STILL only selling vehicles with 1 key fob only! This is UNJUSTIFIABLE!!! Stooop simping for Toyota! Stop buying Toyotas! Wise up folks!

Sorry, But Toyota is putting Corporate Profits ahead of its customers when they downgraded to a twin turbo 4 cyl engine. This car is GROSSLY UNDER- POWERED for its weight. That and when those turbo go (and they usually do after like 4 years) they have to be replaced in pairs and would cost you over $5000 to replace the turbos. I have been a Toyota owner for over 25 years and will NEVER AGAIN buy any Toyota product unless the bring back the 6 cyl engines.

The guy talking in the video is leasing the car that we reviewed in here. It definitely feels decently powerful if you take into account the very heavy chassis that it’s pulling around. That said there is a reason he decided to go for a lease with this new 2.4 L turbo engine. Since it’s the first Toyota turbo, since basically the early generation supra, it’s definitely going to face reliability issues and it also has injectors along the top of the engine which have to come off during servicing for even something simple like a valve cover Replacement which will definitely increase repair costs. So it’s definitely good for a lease, but should be second-guessed in regards to a purchase.👍
