Well just got back to the game. I am super torn between engineer (class has been my main since release) and elementalist for pvp and wvw (roaming). What would you recommend ? Already checked out the builds on your website and a few other of your awesome videos.
Both are very fun to play imo and have many good builds for pvp and wvw, I like Holosmith but you depend too much on grenades so consider that if you dont like the kits, and as ele you have many celestial builds to play and a few power options, depends on your playstyle to be honest.
i have an idea but couldnt test it now, fire earth celestial scepter catalyst. fire 3-2-2, earth 3-1-3, catalyst 3-3-1. every aura you get gives protection and stability, condition cleanse. its more condisentric variant and i guess it has enough sustain for all damage types.
Was wondering out of the 2 different catalyst builds and the 4 variants on your site . Which one would you say is the most durable or easier learning curve ? Just got my ele to 80 .
Cele arcane with daggers or hammer would be the best and easier to start
Hi Jen. I've watched both your Druid and Ele videos. I'm a main PvE player but i'd like to experience the end game PvP like WvW. I can't choose between a Ranger and an Ele. I'm mainly a supp caster type, but i also enjoy the longbow and short bow of Ranger, not to mention his kit in specialisations and utility spells. Judging by your personal taste, which one do you like the most between the two professions and what do you find interesting in it?
Id say ele is better because you can play celestial tempest for solo roaming and small scale, and have another build template with the minstrel zerg tempest build if you happen to join a big group. Tempest is also easier to learn and I recommend it if you are just starting in WvW.

Can you pls share some combos for cata scepter/dagger? Been looking all over for that but to no avail.
Can I ask you about the keyboard setting of the elementalist? I always have trouble pressing skills.
I use a Logitech G600 gaming mouse for most keybinds, I have trouble using the F1-F4 keys because I have small hands, so mouse side buttons makes everything easier for me.

how are you handling rangers that just wait until you pop magnetic auras and then rapid shot you to death in 2 seconds? I've tried a few versions of this and I always seem to get those. If this is just meant to be a montage of taking random targets then I suppose I can fail 50 times for that 10 that make me look good lol
I think you need to practice more and read your skills, and understand how line of sight works.
How's air-fire performing compared to arcane-air/fire?
It could work, personally I always prefer arcane because boons and reduced recharge to swap.
Wonder if its possible to make a good solo sceptre cata for open world 🤔
You could use this exact same build for open world and will be fine

still squishy although its celestial build. it depends on mostly mistform, earth invul, rock barrier and some air blinds.
If sceptre is to strong they should nerf longbow on ranger…
i hope anet doesnt nerf the auto i mean... engi has an auto atack build, renegade, and even necro lol leav the eles alone :P
You can't possibly put Engineer rifle in the same category.
Renegade auto isn't on the same level.
