I'm Indonesian. This shaky video footage reminds me of the 90s where the television signal was still weak plus the weather was windy. The distance of my house from the TV transmission station is around 200KM. TV at that time was the main source of entertainment besides radio
Actually EifelDX received this signal in Southeast Belgium, or more accurately in the region near the border with Luxembourg and France. The signal, which was ChR1 TV USSR from Leningrad/St Petersburg transmitter was received via Sporadic E propagation.

The signal, which was ChR1 TV USSR from Leningrad/St Petersburg transmitter was received via Sporadic E propagation. Sporadic E reception of TV signals can be unstable at times
Just like in other countries, VHS decks became common in the USSR as people wanted to time-shift TV shows and watch movies. People were able to buy a Soviet-produced Elektronika model, or import a device from abroad if they desired (though importing a device would be complicated due to the special type of SECAM used in the USSR)

Now that's the quality of Soviet TV when the USSR was about to die the next year
Are you aware that this is recorded and is like 30 years old?
That’s probably just an old recording. I’m sure it was better quality when it aired.
@Landrei Ostan Ganoy Betamax was the 80s
@@carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 we have VHS recordings from the 80s that look way better than this
The original video says that it was being received far away.
29 мая 1990 года - вторник, принимался на юго-востоке Бельгии (на границе с Францией и Люксембургом), то есть в ~1900 км от передатчика в Ленинграде.
That was tv DX
@@markoprskalo6127 Yes (Да)
That's fricking creepy
Those first 30 seconds tho
Very creepy
I have some VHS tapes from the 1990's Some go back to the 70's. They have little to no signs of generation. Loss
This particular recording was being received in an area with poor reception
This is just like Romania in the 80s.
@@tropicalslav931 There were different kinds of clocks that were used.
Моя мама тоже видела в детстве 1990😢
I heard that the video is bad because it was received somewhere in Europe, far away from Russia.
Sheesh, this is some generation loss.
Not only that, I know the original video (EifelDX) was recorded with poor reception, resulting in it occasionally fading in and out
@@solinus7131 i found this on a russian yt video from 2010

Yes you do. We all do. It's in the public domain, if I recall right.
OUR FOOTAGE!
The reason is the VHS Taoe was destroyed or there is a typhoon back in 1990 on russia.

1990, on sent déjà l'agonie de l'URSS dans cette vidéo, agonie qui annonce hélas tous les drames qui suivront 😔
@liberty day man ??
@liberty day man non (it means no)
@liberty day man Me gustaría un montón conocer tu idioma :D
Ouais
I was wondering of how they recorded this video. I mean, most of the population were not used to have record devices such as VHS. Am I wrong?
I'm pretty sure they had VHS in 1990- by then the USSR had opened up to the west due to gorbachev's perestroitka, glastnost, and other reforms

Likely either sent in via Finland or it was because of USSR more open to the west.
that tape is damaged af
This is kinda dystopian

I think its recorded on the southern russia or eastern russia.
It's recorded in Siberia.
Its Recorded in Moscow or Leningrad (i think) because at that time the weather is very windy. And the vhs is destroyed. So thats why.
