    Just viewed your Ultimate BMPro Guide. We have owned our 2024 Entegra Esteem 29V for 7 days and had no idea on how to use this command center. You methodically went through how to use the BMPro and I feel like I understand its operation now. You tips were very insightful too. Especially getting rid of the apps that could potentially create problems down the road. I am looking forward to watching the other information you have posted on this topic. Again, great job & thank you!

    I’ve owned my 2022 Jayco Eagle for almost a month. This video was extremely helpful…especially after I struggled with the BMPRO app simply disappearing on the android tablet in the unit itself! Frustration was high trying to understand what I was dealing with. I use all IOS (Apple) products. It was really just a matter of connecting to strong wifi signal and downloading the BMPRO app again through the RV tablet!! It would have been so so SO much easier IF I had this “tutorial” OUTSTANDING!!! Thank you!

      Thank you! Glad to hear it. If you haven't already I recommend disabling some of the unused apps in the Android > Settings > Apps as having those run in the bkg seems to cause issues uncessarily (e.g. CZcams, Photos, etc. - the ones we don't use on it).

      I’m actually talking about the main control system. Just like you showed here. It is android based. That app misbehaves and becomes unresponsive. I’ve actually had the app completely loose Bluetooth and keep asking to be paired. To the point I had to clear it clear it’s data and cache and force stop to get it working again

      @@AdventureRocks I think that does help. That was one of the things I had to stop early on. However I made the mistake of stopping chrome as well. Google changed how they do things and a few months back they had a major update that caused apps to fail. Ours was one of them. I re-enabled the app and it helped for a little while. Now we are dealing with constant loss of connectivity to the point I’m looking at possibly ripping the whole system out and replacing it with a dedicated multiplexing system with dedicated software running it.

      Jeff, congrats on getting the North point! I'm sure you'll love it! The only real difference of the NorthPoint and Pinnacle is the width of the rigs. The Pinnacle is 8' wide (closed) where the NorthPoint is 7'4" (closed).... Depending on what year your getting, you should have the exact same features as our rigs.
      Bonus info*..... If you go to the "settings" on the tablet, you will see "general settings".... Tap it 5 times and it will take you to the programming screen. Here you can change the layout of the screen, to include showing features that weren't installed at the factory. (Ie. Tank heaters, solar controller, hear pumps on various AC units).
      To set it up correctly, look on the outside of the rig by your door for the build #. (This will be under your floor plan number)
      Then go to the tablet and enter that in, it will then allow you to select what features you would like to see on the screen. I'm hoping to make a video of this in the future. Cheers

    I have one of the Jayco Feather Micro TT’s (‘22) that I should receive in a few weeks. Can you with your phone change the temperature setting on your AC when not inside the RV?
    How far away? Does your phone and your RV have to be under the same wifi network to communicate. Or under the cloud, can your phone on wifi communicate with your RV at a different location with a different wifi network?
    Also is the BMPro system compatible with an IPhone?

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 2 lety +1

      Mine works about up to 20-30' outside the coach via bluetooth. Otherwise if you've got WiFi on your coach or nearby and BMPro is connected to cloud via WiFi, then you can change via a phone pretty much anywhere in the world where you've got internet. BMPro is bluetooth only for direct connection, so when you're out of bluetooth range, then you'll need an internet connection on both phone and BMPro system (whether wifi or cellular)...doesn't matter as long as they are all connected to internet. So you can change temp, water pump, water heater, lights...pretty much everything except for motors like slides, awnings...those only work via bluetooth for safety reasons. BMPro has apps for both iPhone and Android.

    Excellent vid, great tips, especially with disabling unnecessary android apps. Once I get the unit back up, I will disable all apps that I don't need/want. My BMPro went blank, into a hard sleep, and I have yet to reset it. Tried resetting using the OF-ext but that didn't work. Tried resetting with paperclip on pin under the front panel and that started a reboot sequence on the unit but it went back to sleep after it rebooted and blank screen again within about 30 seconds and I couldn't do anything more. Today, I will try a hard reboot by removing the BMPro panel and removing the plug on the board and replugging. If that doesn't work, I am unfortunately out of options and will have to contact the dealer, ugh. Fortunately, I did discover that my RVMaster controller app on my phone still works all the systems so I am not totally DITW. There aren't many videos showing how to troubleshoot the BMPro. I appreciate your tutorial on the BMPRO. I noticed when you were discussing the propane monitoring system mounted at the bottom of the tanks, I noticed you had three tanks you were monitoring. Any advice you can give me or correction on my mis information on these sensors.

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 10 měsíci

      Unless they changed something I'd guess inadvertent misinformation. I think the limitation is more how many total Bluetooth sensors you have between temp, propane, etc. as the node only supports so many. I've got 3x temp and 3x propane and pretty sure I could add more. Maybe they just haven't tried it? You'll have to report back if you find out otherwise. Hope this helps!

    I have a Jayco Eagle 355. We are Canadian so temps are set to Celsius. One feature that I would change is the lower limit of the temperature. We like it cool at night and prefer to use electric heat before gas kicks in. The system controls only go down to 16'C. I'd prefer to set it much lower. Also, you can't set the temperature level without having the system in heat or cool mode. This can start the furnace or AC unnecessarily. I have done some controls programming in my past career so might be a bit critical. Otherwise, this system seems to work well. It would be good to have it locked into the BMPro app with special permission to unlock so that unauthorized users, ie: teenagers, could not mess with things.

I had a Onan 5500 generator installed and the tech couldn't figure out how to get the generator to display on the BMPro. • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 6 měsíci

      Nice choice on the Riverstone! Beautiful unit. My first thought is the gen is connected to the node (brain), but maybe your unit didn't get programmed and so that's why the buttons aren't showing up like mine in video. So I recommend trying the "programming" mode to add the gen to your unit in software. To do this you'll got to settings (sprocket icon) within the BMPro App and tap the "General Settings" gray bar 5 times in a row. That'll take you to configuration mode to program. Basically you select your model and add the features/options on your unit. Here's a PDF from BMPro with more info:
      bmpro.zendesk.com/attachments/token/X1wJ1ljhRvkLqp2dCQO8pnUGg/?name=034559+-+JAYCOMMAND+Help+Guide+-+Configuring+your+RV+v1.3.pdf

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 6 měsíci

      Otherwise if the configuration/programming doesn't work, I suppose it's possible the gen didn't get connected to the node. But, I think you'd at least see the buttons in the app if that was the case. Either way if you can find an locate the node/brain where all the wires converge, you could check to make sure it is physically connected. Mine is pictured at about 01:57 in the video. Usually it's in the basement storage...needs a decent amount of room for all the wires and such. Last, another video to keep handy for future is the one below for troubleshooting connectivity issues:

      You are correct...think it happened late 21 to present. Sad to see that...those buttons really are a HUGE selling point in my opinion. • @AdventureRocks

      Basically the hard buttons along bottom of wall screen are separate from the tablet, so that is the hardwired system essentially. It can only control the slides, awning, lights, and water pump, but for me that seems sufficient for the critical systems. Then the leveling system has a dedicated, separate panel in wet bay. And, as I understand it, even if the tablet went caput, you can still Bluetooth via phone app as that goes straight to node. So far it's been very reliable for me personally (about 6 months). I think key is disabling Android apps that aren't necessary to make it stable. I'll have to report back after 1 year, 2 etc. I'll definitely share any updates along journey or issues I encounter long term.

    We just signed the papers on a 2022 321 RSTS. The command module does NOT have any of the manual buttons/switches or LCD screen along the bottom. All blank. Dealer said this was to circumvent "shortages or whatever". I'm curious if you or others have seen this, and more curious if it can be replaced with a "normal" version in the future. Quite disappointed that Jayco sent it out this way.

      Oh wow, I can imagine the disappointment. 100% agree. I think you're the first one to mention that shortage. Surely there has to be a way to swap it out after they replenish the supply and catch up. In my opinion that's one of the main features that sets the BMPro system apart from others. It's not a deal breaker in that you'll still be able to access everything, but those hardwired buttons are nice especially if the tablet portion would ever fail. I wonder if you reached out to BMPro support to inquire? They may just say you need to contact Jayco, but I've had much better responses from BMPro on questions submitted through their website compared to Jayco, so worth a shot? Sorry to hear about that.

    Is there a way to disable that button?

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 5 měsíci

      Did yours come with the Lippert jacks or Equalizer? On the Equalizer system "retract all" just means retract all the rear 4x jacks and leaving front 2x alone. But last time I had the Lippert system, "retract all" literally would retract all 6x jacks like you mentioned...only for use once hitched up. I don't know if it's still the same today as that was several years ago. Maybe ask the folks in Pinnacle group on Facebook to confirm. Surely there's a way to quickly stop it if you press by accident?

      @@TheDesertdawg1I hear you, definitely more of an issue with the Lippert system compared to the Equalizer given how they function. I had the Equalizer version so did not occur to me, but you raise a good point with the Lippert version the way it works. If you wanted, you could disconnect the wires connecting the Lippert keypad to the BMPro node...you should see 2-4 wires (potentially a small harness) attaching to the BMPro Node, likely on the right side labeled on node. That would completely disable the BMPro system from communicating with the Lippert jacks, so then you'd only be able to control the jacks via the Lippert keypad outside...downside, but it would prevent accidental touch.
      For Autoformer qeustion...On your 32RLTS, did you get the gen prep option? If so, you can hook-up the Autoformer right by the transfer switch by intercepting, which I think should be behind your basement storage mechanical area like mine? If no gen prep/transfer switch, then you may have to gain access to the 50A power by the actual converter panel itself...may be tricky getting access, but should be a way to make it work. Hope this helps.

    Any feedback on why my JAYCOMMAND shows a generator fault and does not track hours? The generator runs well and I’m not able to get any fault codes from the generator itself. Is there a way to reset the unit to clear the fault? Any idea how to get hours to be tracked and shown in the unit itself? Really appreciate the rest of your content regarding the unit itself. Would be great if you could do a video on the Equalizer leveling system, finding level/setting null, and your process for unhitching on an unlevel site.

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 2 lety

      Do you think it could be a loose wire perhaps on gen inputs? You could check on the node in basement to see if any wires are loose or missing on the gen inputs. And, then check if those same wires are secure on the generator itself. I haven't had issues with the gen hours, but I haven't gotten any specific fault codes on mine. Only times I've seen fault are 2x when I've accidentally run it out of fuel. But, when I restart gen after replenishing propane the fault goes away on its own. I haven't ever seen a fault code, but assumed it wasn't capable of showing them. Almost would be nice to have the standard analog onan control panel that normally comes with it in units without BMPro, perhaps mounted in basement storage where you could get all that if needed. Almost like the redudant equalizer panel in wetbay. I wonder if it's possible to add that analog Onan control/display? I'll have to look into that as that'd be kinda nice actually.
      On the leveling I had a bit of a learning curve as the Equalizer works a good bit different compared to Lippert that I was accustomed too. I discovered the auto level button only works under specific circumstances if the rear jacks are retracted and the rear jack lights are off. So whereas with Lippert you could go back and press "auto level" a day after setting up camp and it'd re-level in case you sank a bit, with Equalizer you have to fully retract first and then press auto level again. And, I've had to redo the null setting a few times as well. Since I got all that figured out it has worked great now. Maybe I can put a video on that in future as it was kinda confusing figuring out.

    • @barrettyoung9613
      @barrettyoung9613 Před 2 lety +1

      @@AdventureRocks thanks again for your comments and thorough feedback. I will check the wires and see if by chance that may be causing the fault and 0.0 hours listed.
      Agree, the equalizer is a bit different and not much content available on them yet. Do you find it necessary to level the unit using wood under the tires when pulling in first or do you find that the system is able to self-level once unhitched? Prior 5th wheel was electric leveling so a bit different and so I’m still figuring this out as well. Are the front landing jacks supposed to self level if the unit is parked in an uneven spot when unhitching or do you suggest blocks under the jacks/tires?

    • @AdventureRocks
      @AdventureRocks  Před 2 lety +1

      @@barrettyoung9613 I also had the Lippert electric leveling before so had gotten used to it. On the Equalizer I have not had to use wood blocks on tires yet. I think there was only one campsite I recall where it was pretty sloped and the Equalizer still handled it just fine witht he auto level. If I ever do get a site where jacks are out of stroke I'd personally just put a 1-2" block/pad under the jack(s) out of stroke and let it continue. Anymore than that and I guess probably better to block under the tires at that point. I've actually used it to very carefully fully lift the tires off ground in my flat storage area to remove tires and work on running gear. It lifts it pretty high if needed.
      I basically do mostly the same as the Lippert electric leveling on the unhitching side as far as deploying front jacks manually first, raising nose of fifth wheel to unhitch, pulling truck out fully. And then I just press the auto level button and wait for it to do its thing. Initially when I first got my rig I think the null setting was off, and then other times I had failed to push the "retract all" on the opposite/reverse while hitching up. On the Lippert "retract all" would literally retract all the jacks including front, whereas on the Equalizer it just retracts the 4x rear. So that threw me off initially. But, I think you have to press the "retract all" when hitching up in order for the "auto level" to work the next time unhitching if that makes sense. A tech at Equalizer told me the "auto level" only works if the rear jack lights are off (not red) on panel. Another tip if you ever get out of sequence and the Equalizer panel won't respond to input and just long beeps...I just pull the fuse at the hydraulic pump to reset it (or you could pull harness from back of control, but harder to reach). The other thing I've noticed is the Equalizer brain is entirely part of the control panel, whereas on the Lippert it had other sensors throughout. So, I've noticed that the Equalizer gets it close to level, but perhaps not as precise as Lippert due to the Equalizer's level sensor being in the control panel itself? Anyway once I got all that figured out it has worked great. Definitely different compared to the Lippert version.

(in full disclosure I've never done this on my tablet, so try at your own risk...however I've done it on other Android tablets). Basically any Android device can be hard reset via hardware buttons using following method below, which erases any passcodes:
      1) You'll need to remove the tablet from the bezel (see czcams.com/video/AWtvF7zCHSw/video.html)
      2) Carefully remove the bottom circuit board that blocks the tablet from sliding out of the bezel (a few screws...be careful with fragile ribbon cable that connects to circuit board)
      3) Next power down the tablet completely (hold power button and shutdown)
      4) Once tablet is off completely hold volume down and power button at same time
      5) Keep holding the buttons until you see the Android recovery menu
      6) Use the volume buttons to navigate to the option "factory reset"
      7) Press the power button to confirm your selection.
      Here's a more detailed guide:
      www.lifewire.com/use-android-recovery-mode-7109841
      Basically the above steps will completely erase your tablet, and it should then re-install the original factory BMPro software just like it came fresh from the factory. You'll have to report back and let us know what you find out.
