- Jaycommand | powered by BMPro
Today we are taking a look at Jayco's Jaycommand system powered by BMPro. This system allows you to control all your RV's functions from a single touchscreen! It also allows you to pair your iPhone or Android device for wireless control! If this isn't enough, BMPro also offers expansion modules that allow you to monitor systems such as your fridge and freezer temperature, your propane tank levels, and your tire pressure!

We just got a 2023 j feather 166 rbs.Nice little camper and alittle stumped that the lights still come on and things with the battery disconnect switch off. Also hopefully it's a long time until a vacation isn't ruined by faulty electronics like a slide not opening or ac not turning on when you really need it.I personally miss the simple knobs.
The only reason we can think of that the lights would stay on when you cut the battery cut off would be the on-board solar. We have personally experienced the scenario where we have a jump box hooked to the battery connections and when removed (no battery at all) the lights stay on thanks to the solar.
Great Video! thank you for helping us understand our new rig.
Thanks for watching!
Nice tutorial. Definitely planning to add propane and temp sensors. My 26RL came with the small display unit and hope to upgrade to the larger touchscreen in the future.
BMPRo is an Australian company based in Melbourne Australia making in roads in the US RV industry
Wonderful in theory, but definitely not in practice.
Thanks so much what a great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for making this video. It is very well done.
How do you stay connected to the TPMS while driving down the road? It seams the Bluetooth isn’t powerful enough to stay connected and if a tire starts to heat up and/or blow out it would be nice to get a warning.
Hey ben, It should work perfectly fine monitoring from inside your tow vehicle. The Bluetooth is actually strong enough to work at least 50ft away from our testing. Jaycommand will also send your phone a notification if your tires reach too low of a pressure reading.
@@Southern_RV Thanks!
Do you need to replace batteries on the tpms? My sensors stopped working @Southern_RV
bmpro is garbage, lots of problems
Very helpful! Curious though, if more than one phone can be paired and used?
Thanks for watching Jane! In our testing and experience, the JayCommand system only allows for one bluetooth connection at a time.
Thanks for making the video. It seems that the system won't tell how much battery power you have left, only voltage correct?
That is correct, the system only monitors the battery voltage. However, there is a new update for Jaycommand that adds solar monitoring. This monitors the input and output of the solar panel as well as the battery and solar panel temperature
BM pro is having their own troubles. You contact them and no one gets back to you, them read that their systems are down
Is there a way to change the lights assignment within the system without rewiring? My bedroom button turns on the rear accent lights. The rear accent light button turns on both the rear accent and the bedroom. Finally, the switch in the bedroom turns on the rear accent. I’ve contacted Jayco who says it requires rewirng but it seems to me you would have the option to reset the buttons to whatever. Please advise and thanks!
We are not aware of a way at this time to simply reprogram the unit.
How do you clear faults ? My unit has 3 ac units. 2 out of 3 of them say "fault...please see manual" so cant get 2 of my ac units to work. Also this unit is 1.5 months old.
I noticed there was no answer to this, what a suprise. I have the same problem and have gotten no answers.
How do you monitor for solar? I have the goPower solar system and want to know how to set it up with BMPro.
Jayco wires the two together at the factory, so we would need to consult their engineers on those specifics. That said, goPower typically has its own monitoring panel.
@@Southern_RV it does but if rather see it all in one place remotely. And mine wasn't wired for it from the factory. Just haven't found anything that documents how to do it. Very frustrating.
Will the Mopeka propane tank sensors work with this system?
We're not sure as we have not had the Mopeka system to try it. That said, it looks like the exact same system just rebranded. If thats the case... they just might work together!
bmpro is garbage. calling Jayco is useless. The RV repair guy says they are having a lot of headaches from several unit owners
These systems are absolute junk. They aren't proven and have so many bugs that weren't ever fixed. We are now on our second replacement tablet. How many more until they get our fixed correctly correctly
bmpro is garbage, my screen is blank
bmpro is a piece of shit, i'm having all kinds of problems with it
You ain't lying along with the jayco command system that damn monitor worked for a week and it's been a black screen ever since. Jayco keeps giving me the runaround.
I have a 2021 Jayco HT 5th with smaller wall unit. We are having a hard time updating the firmware when needed. Most YT videos and forums advise the large unit is easier and in able to link to WIFI. Can the smaller unit be swapped out with the bigger unit without more wiring?
Great question! Unfortunatly we don't have the answer off hand.... We recommend giving Jayco customer service a call about this topic. They can be reached at 1 (800) 283-8267
