Penny was the first person who subtly implanted the idea of romance in Sheldon's mind. "knowing the mother of your future child". She is the God in disguise, working mysteriously to bring two socially inept geniuses to love each other. Raj and Howard were the arch angels.

God, I remember watching this episode when it first came out, it was so interesting & funny to see Sheldon act differently in regards to Amy. On an interesting note, this wasn’t the first time nor episode where Sheldon stated that a child between him & Amy bearing they’re DNA and genetic material would be intellectually superior and genius traits to “lead/guide humanity to a new age” and/or be “the next step in the evolution of mankind”. However, as great and promising as that would sound, there are a few flaws with that theory. Both Sheldon and Amy’s child with they’re combined DNA would create a super-smart child but, as evidence has suggested to the duo in the show, the two of them would've treated their son’s/daughter’s upbringing like one long scientific experiment. Moreover, the resulting upbringing would probably have made their child into someone more like Leonard in personality - extremely intelligent, but plagued by self-doubt and distracted by the constant need to gain the approval of others- not to mention being socially-awkward growing up, possessing a lack of empathy towards others, and have little to no knowledge of pop culture that could impact the concept of ‘fitting in’ and having things in common with people. So, the whole idea of Sheldon & Amy having a “genetically superior” child that would be capable of leading humanity into a brighter future might be possible but also could be a little far-fetched.

With old Amy , yes. In the later seasons however her character has changed . Noting how she dislikes her own mother for her upbringing, I bet she would take good care of her child. Sheldon too in the last episodes of the series understands human emotions better , so the child could grow quite normally

He has a car too, but uses his scooter more than his car. Not sure if you remember but at one point sheldon was driving his car in the later episodes. Plus there was a episode when sheldon and Howard are fighting for a car spot at the university.

After watching Young Sheldon, I believe Paige surpasses Amy in every way and she is perfect for Sheldon. She was smart/genius like Sheldon (probably smarter), but with the personality of Penny or Missy (kinda), just more complex, messy and wit. They had complex relationship but especially great chemistry. In similarities they were close, in differences they could complement each other perfectly. Paige had the same as Penny and Amy but even more... beauty, intellect (genius), wit, sense of humor, wildness, high EQ and empathy, yet lonely, friendless, etc.
That's why I'm annoyed that YS is a prequel, I'd prefer it to be a standalone show that went its own way. With changes and development that would match it (unfortunately, Paige's character was created after the end of TBBT).
