Okay, this one is going to make you stop, drop, and drool. What happens when you draw inspiration from and combine the likes of a meatball Parmesan hero, a deep dish pizza, a crock of French onion soup, garlic bread and a Georgian-style khachapuri (aka a "cheese boat")? You get the most photo-worthy and sharable comfort dish known as Meatball Parm Garlic Bread Bowls! And as incredible as it looks, it's super easy to make. This recipe has you baking my meatballs and then briefly simmering them in some marinara, but they can also be made in your Instant Pot (just see Jeff's Tips in the recipe card below). Get ready for a serious meal you'll want to make for yourself and your favorite guests again and again where you'll not only lick the bowl clean, you'll eat it instead!

This is awesome and looks absolutely delicious! I'm not critiquing, but I think I would change it a bit. Even when I have soups in a bread bowl, I can't eat all of that bread. For this one, I would do the exact same thing you have done, but hollow out a nice deli roll or something. Call it a "Bread Boat". Then one person can eat it and feel comfortable. I love your work man.
I thought the same thing. Boat bowl sounds fantastic, I'm going to try it that way. 😊
Love your channel. "Chef John" tells us "wet hands make smooth balls". It keeps the meat from clinging to your fingers
Several times I chuckled in this video 😅
Teehee
Hello, that looks amazing! Think i might try it with smaller bread bowls and smaller meatballs but this looks like you said something that make one's friends jaws drop when you set it in front of them!! Thank you thank you! I was wondering what i was going to make for dinner!
Wait! Where’s the part that you use the Instant Pot?!? 😂 This looks amazing. I am making this for dinner tonight!
Also, who are these crazy people saying too much cheese?
I did this but I felt 3 balls weren't enuf so I cut 6 balls in haf and it was perfect.
Thank you.
Looks awesome!
Appreciate all your work brother!
My pleasure!
Thank you for sharing this simple and delicious meal! Pressure cooker needs a break hah
Oh looks so good I will try it
I just turned 65 yesterday and I giggled through the whole thing. Recipe sounded good too.
I’m glad!!
And happy birthday!
@@PressureLuck why thank you kindly. I’m a little kerplemph because I never had a celebrity say that to me before.
Simply amazing I so need this like yesterday ❤❤
Do it!
Pasta would be awesome!
I worked at Panera for 7 years. If it’s more convenient for you, the sourdough bread bowls we use for soup can be purchased with the “cork” cut for you. 😊
Thanks for the tip!
I bought the 4 books!
I love mixing the meat with my hands! It feels so good!!!!
Agreed!
Amazing !!!!! 🤩😋😋😋😋
Oohhhhhhh myyyy. Mmmm.
What manner of sorcery be this? ❤
Oooh! That’s good 😋😋😋😋I like it.
You had me at Meatball. ❤ yum
Hehe
This looks awesome and your innuendos were hilarious. Balls of meat.
I didn’t even realize!
Made it just now and this was one was indeed a complete winner! Thank you Jeffrey!
Oh I’m so glad!
Tip: use an ice cream scoop to get uniform meatball size
I use a mini cookie scooper. I like small meatballs. Yes. It makes same size uniform meatballs.😊
That works. But I like to roll them a bit rustically.
This looks deliciously amazing!!! Thank you Jeffrey ❤
Gotta be one of your all time bests! Looks fabulous! 😋
OK, I can't stop laughing (yes, legally I'm 55 but mentally I'm 12). 🤣🤣🤣
Would you consider prepping your bread bowls and use the discard as your breadcrumbs in the meatball?
You sure can! Just make sure you toast the removed bread from the inside of the bowls and then crush into crumbs.
Wow! Instead of cola, I'd wash it down with some Lambrusca (also from Trader Joe's). I'm drooling. Next on my list.
Thank this so good and easy to make. You hit another home run.
Enjoy it!
That looks amazingly delicious!
❤ Another World beater! I've made many of your recipes, and this will be next! Thank you!!!!
Wow! World Beater status ;) enjoy!
Looks awesome Jeff! Can you cut these to share, if possible?
Phenomenal!
This looks amazing 😋
Jeffrey thanks for sharing this recipe with us i had fun watching you make this video.God Bless you and Richard ŵhere is your dog bingo at?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Banjo was napping surprisingly!
Jeff, you are so creative and sweet. However, it's instant pot recipes that I need and I use all of yours. Please, more IP!
Thanks for the kind words! In all fairness, you can also make these meatballs in your IP and I have also given the world around 1,000 Instant Pot recipes between my blog and my books. I think it’s more than fair to say I am going to change things up every now and then - so long as my recipes are easy to follow and make with accessible ingredients. ;)
It looks like something that you should share ... but why? yummm
❤❤❤❤❤❤
It occurs to me that you could make garlic bread sticks, make a meat sauce instead of meatballs, leave everything else as is, and have an amazing party dip.
Go for it!
Tin foil on the cookie sheet when broiling is much safer than parchment paper at the high temperature.
Looks delicious. 😋
Thank you 😋 give it a shot!
Can’t wait to make this! Looks delicious Jeffrey! Can’t wait to sign up for the email! ❤❤
Oh Jeffrey, you're killin' me with the meatballs and sauce . Can't wait to give it a try. ❤
Have fun!
Love this idea! And I have everything but the bread on hand... Time to run to Aldi ❤
Do they have these bread bowls at Aldi? I don't shop there, so I did know. Are these mini bowls?
Perfect!
I worked at Panera for 7 years. If it’s more convenient for you, the sourdough bread bowls we use for soup can be purchased with the “cork” cut for you. 😊
@catherineschmalzer1271 Thank You for answering my question. I had no idea you could buy bread bowls from Panara.
This one is definitely going into the future recipe roster! You can never have too much cheese! 🧀🧀🧀
Yes you can walk n eat it 😂😂😂
Ok, I just made this. Oh. Em. Gee! This is phenomenal. Everything came out exactly as you showed in the video and I'm going to assume it tasted just as good as yours. Thank you!
It almost seems like a calzone of sorts.
That's good eating Jeffrey!! Wonderful!
You're an evil genius❤
I like this recipe very much. Meatballs or Italian sausage either with pasta or onions and peppers with cheese and sauce. 😁
TESTICULAR!
Nice!
Cut your bread bowls before making the meatballs and use the removed bread for the meatballs.
You can def do that but make sure you toast or let go a bit “stale” so it hardens and smash into breadcrumbs first.
Would you serve any side dishes with this for dinner?
Hahaha. I think this completes all the food groups with no sides required.
You are right, gorgeousness!!!
Fussy but gun using smaller meat balls or only one in a dinner roll size for a pot luck gathering.
Nibble this! YUMMMY!
And I thought there was only one Barefoot Contessa.
Now we know that Jeffrey likes to cook in his bare feet. ;) Looks good
Doesn’t everyone? ;)
@@PressureLuck lol when you splatter bacon grease on your foot top, you won't do that anymore! Or dump pasta water on your foot. I did both. 😂😂😂
Great concept…poor ingredients. So sad
If this makes you sad I’d be afraid to see what makes you happy.
Why poor ingredients? Is it because he used a jar sauce? The dude made meatballs from scratch.
Or just go and buy a cheese burger with tomato sauce on it, cheaper , faster, and less mess NO SOUP FOR YOU !!
WAY TOO MUCH CHEESE! The meatballs and marinara sauce on their on looked wonderful and delicious.
Thanks for the kind words! That said, hard disagree on the cheese.
