I LOVE the shirataki noodles, they're also empty volume that take on the flavor of whatever they're cooked in. I think I would be fine eating and living in Japan, I love it all!! 💖

I honestly wish that these kinda things were available else where in the world. I don't think there are convenient stores that does this here, I think they only have things like heated pies/baked stuff or make milk shakes. That's all I've come across here.

So makes you feel full.
It means good for your diet and constipation.

Mam pytanie, które nurtuje mnie od pewnego czasu. Jak wegetarianie radzą sobie w Japonii ? Czy mają w ogóle jakieś opcje jeśli chcą jeść w restauracjach ? Są opcje wegetariańskie w menu czy raczej japońscy szefowie kuchni nie przejmują się tą częścią społeczeństwa? No ogólnie jak wegetarianizm odnajduje się w kulturze wschodu ?

Hej, może kiedyś uda się zrobić o tym filmik ale ogólnie rzecz biorąc to różnie z tym bywa. Jeżeli chodzi o mniejsze restauracje, to wiele rzeczy jest bazowanych na zupie z kości lub ma jakieś dodatki pochodzenia zwierzęcego (ramen). Większe lokale mają sałatki lub opcje warzywne ale rzadko spotykane są dania które zostały specjalnie umieszczone w menu z myślą o wegetarianach. W Japońskich restauracjach nie jest też spotykane lub nawet często możliwe zmienianie zamówienia (dodać coś lub poprosić o odjęcie składników). Wegetarianizm nie jest czymś mainstreamowym, więc oczekuje się że taki klient sam zadba o to żeby mógł coś zjeść tzn. sprawdzi menu przed, lub wie gdzie chodzić by dobrze zjeść. Jeżeli chodzi o restauracje wegetariańskie to są w większych miastach, w Tokyo szczególnie ostatnio widzi się przypływ 'green restaurants' gdzie na kartach są podane również alergeny itp. jednak są to miejsca znacznie droższe niż np. małe knajpki z gyudonem czy curry. Bycie wegetarianinem trochę ogranicza opcje, ale z odrobiną planowania nie powinno być źle. Z drugiej strony, bycie weganem jest o wiele trudniejsze i często takie osoby muszą sobie radzić gotowaniem w domu lub chodzeniem do kilku restauracji które mają właśnie taki target. Z ciekawostek, tradycja kuchnia mnisia jest wegetariańska i jeżeli zdecydujesz się na noc w jednym z klasztorów na Górze Koya to właśnie takie menu dostaniesz :) mam nadzieję że troszkę pomogłam!
W Japonii podobno jest zdecydowanie więcej wegetarian i wegan

日本って海外からたくさん旅行者が来てうれしいとか言ってるけど店のメニューとか商品には外国語の表記が
無いんだよね。表記できないのならメニューに数字だけでも書けば海外の人は注文しやすいと思うんだけど、日本の会社はどういう考えなんだろうか。東京オリンピックまでにそういう対応する気あるのか・・・。
日本人としてほんとに恥ずかしい。

Total lie about oden in summer! I had it on may 25 AND may 26 (I remember cause that's my birthday) this year at the sugamo family mart (or Lawson I can't remember) and it was amazing! Awesome video about oden though!!

Available all year round in specialist restaurants. But some convenience stores won't have it in the summer. Specialist restaurants so much better than the convenience store stuff.
