I loved this show as a teenager, which really speaks for how genuinely funny it is. I had no idea it was a parody of BBC documentary shows. I imagine it’s even better if you grew up in the UK in the 70s

The math is wrong. If she is running at 3000 mph, and she travelled 524 miles, it should have taken her 10.5 minutes, not 5 minutes. She was doing almost 6000 mph. Which is hard to believe.
I snuck a peek at that aerodynamic ball in a museum one time (they still had it under that sheet), and I went into a fit almost as bad as the time I heard a note from the Boîte Diabolique. My eyes and brain couldn't handle what I saw. It was so... so... ROUND. (Round doesn't even begin to describe it!) ;)
