- It's 2022 in Trinidad and Tobago. Prices are going up: NFM raised flour prices; the price of KISS bread increased; Carib beer prices went up; then Nestle announced a price increase in selected products. In this episode of #BushmanTalk we're with Mr Bat and Farmer Harry #InsideCaura to find out how inflation could affect them and the rest of Trinidad and Tobago.

Several subscribers have asked about sending mail to Mr Bat and Farmer Harry. I spoke to both men and they prefer to use my mailing address. So, if you have something for Mr Bat, mail it to Mr Bat in care of Lyndon Baptiste; if you have something for Farmer Harry, mail it to Farmer Harry in care of Lyndon Baptiste. See the video description for my mailing address. Thanks.
Same thing in guyana my brother sodontcomplain
@@jagdeoramroop6111 It's everywhere right now, even in big countries like Canada, some items 3 or 4 $. Single moms with kids can't buy what their kids need, they have to depend on food banks
Farmer Harry is an intelligent and well spoken individual
I can't say how much I appreciate these guys. It good seeing everyone in the new year.
#bigup Michael. Happy New Year.
Always good to see and hear from Mr. Bat and Harry.
Farmer Harry mentioned making coconut oil. In the '60's I remember picking up dry coconuts from my grandmothers place and grating coconut to make oil. Harry mentioned that he is 60 years old. Hopefully both Harry and Mr. Bat will be around for a long time so that you can continue to share your experience with them. Well done Lyndon!
Good day Lyndon, you truly discovered a couple of GEMS. I truly enjoy listening to Mr Bat and Mr Harry. In some instances I could remember the paradise plums,do they still make them. Wow a definite blast from the past. An episode of Survival would be a great episode hmmmm done in Caura. Thanks for the great memories, keep well all.
Thanks, Lylin. I like how that survival episode sounds.
These two men are not saying prices should stay the same, they are just talking about the good Ole days which I myself always do with my age of friends.
All my pocket has holes 🤣🤣🤣 , Mr. Harry had me with dat one 🤣🤣😭😭
It’s worldwide. Thank God for small mercy. I’m glad to hear that voice though😁
Those men spoke truthfully..It is very sad and depressing how people are living here in Trinidad
But during the election the UNC stated that black people will eat grass, yet every video about hard time is Indians.
Keep these kinda conversation coming. Love all the facts . Respect to Mr. Bat, farmer Harry. We have to keep these individuals. So much wisdom.

Hello uncle
Hi, Eric. Hope you're doing well. Happy New Year to you and your family.
✌️✌️✌️
Hummmmm.... @7mins......Humm boi.
Trinidad was better under British rule as people now are struggling because of loudmouth dunces Politicians. This is the price the people have to pay for independence.
🤷♂️
Will like to get phone no for farmer harry or mr lyndon b
I stopped asking u the same thing twice.
But no reply from u.
U Guys stop complaining about prices.
Here is more hard.
We don't have places like u all to plant anything to eat.
These ignorant people being misled. Almost all food items and medical supplies we import and globally there is a huge increase in shipping...the local manufacturers/retailers not going to absorb that. We function in free market economy, you buy what you could afford...gov't cannot subsidize everything. We already spending multi-millions on this pandemic to buy vaccines and equip, staff to treat hardened people at no cost....where the money coming from to pay for that?! These are not normal times for no country...in foreign media, photos of empty grocery shelves and truck drivers who refuse to turn out to work to make deliveries..that is affecting orders places with foreign firm...so it affecting us to!!
I hear you.
Maybe true but don't believe everything you see on the news when it comes to photos of grocery shelves as you are saying. News media exaggerate a lot. Its a business.
@@tonyob2455 : People on SM already making comments with no one knowing their credentials so that others can assess their opinion and if to believe them or believe what is on public domain ( different media coverage local and foreign). So for now standing by my opinion.
Can you pin on google map where Me Bat lives Happy New Year
Sorry, no. Happy New Year.
@@lyndonbaptiste Ok. Happy New Year.
Yyyyy people's always bringing up years and years ago about prices.
U expected to get the prices the same.
Well something wrong with Mr Bat or whatever his name is
I believe he was referencing wages and the purchasing power of 50 years ago to compare against what they are seeing today. I agree that it is not as simple as comparing gros michel and cavindesh. Yet the comparison is still valid.
