I know that this video is 1 year ago, but better late than never. Welcome to Canada. I moved to Canada as a landed immigrant with my parents and 2 of my 4 older siblings in 1990. I remember that day like it was yesterday, I remember flying on the L-1011 TriStar 500 (miss that plane) with everything we owned and then waking up the next morning and seeing snow for the first time. Even though I have lived here longer than in the country of my birth, I identify as a dual citizen, still a Trini, but also a Canadian. Back then, it was a lot harder to move to Canada, but now I think the process is a lot easier, because as you said, Canada needs skilled workers, but what is hard is the high cost of living and the damn taxes and it's on everything.
Thanks for talking about your experience.
My pleasure!
Congrats, now all you need is a Job and an apartment and you'll be good to go.
I hope everything works out for you.😊
Thank you!
The flying saucers talk took me out lol😀
🤣🤣
Hi can you inform me where in trunidad you did the IELTS?
I want to apply i wish you are able to give a step by step process the website is a bit confusing
I hope she could give a step by step process as well
Hi there, I’ll do that as my next video, once I can figure out how to navigate the screens
Waiting on this video aswel
What city are you in
What’s the average cost in TTD for the full application process ? Excluding airfare and accommodation Did you do IELTS
Hey yes I did IELTS. It cost around $2000 TTD.
@@cher868 the express entry application cost 2000TTD?
No, the cost of the IELTS exam was around $2000TTD. The amount of money / total cost of immigrating depends on the type of program/ pathway you’re taking.
You are hilarious! I'll need more videos please!!!
Just uploaded one! Check it out 😊
Which express entry did you apply through
Hi 👋🏾 federal skilled workers
I would be so afraid to do that.
Be brave you can do it tooooo 🤗
I'd be afraid to. 1 of many reasons is due to the fact I could not afford to finish my Bachelor's degree so I don't think they'd view me as an asset (skilled individual). Picking apples might be my only option. Not that I'm looking down on that but it's sad my 7 CXCs & Certificate in BM is useless outside.
I get your perspective totally, but any way you can get your foot in the door is just as good an opportunity any! When you arrive, you can find a way to pivot and get to where you want to be. Many have done it before us 🤞🏽
@@cher868 Thanks for the motivation & for posting these videos. It's hard to find vlogs about migration by (Trini) content creators so this is a great help. I just (Subscribed) & keep up d good work.
Thank you, and welcome 😊
can you carry your kids?
Of course! Most ppl move with their children and partners
Video record in landscape mode because you are filming for CZcams
