Was looking at other kits that are about $100 cheaper but his detailed video made me decide on this kit because of how easy the video is to follow with such easy directions for noobs like myself.
I got the same kit and now the pac box is not working i have to bend the harness pig tail with the red yellow and black wires so it can turn on . I’m not sure what’s going on but only works if i bend the wires or put a little pressure on it
I just purchased a 2020 Ford F-150 Lariat with the B&O audio. Crutchfield says I shouldn't replace the audio system. Just wondering why? I'd like to have one of the Pioneer systems like you installed on this truck.
Once I got mine switched out, my key fobs quit locking and unlocking my doors and the TPMS sensors quit working as well. Any ideas if this is all linked to changing this out?
So would this kit work on my 2015 8 inch sync system non sub system. because I hate how leggy and I've updated it 4 time and is just crap, want to put either pioneer or kenwood In and hook a sub up without line out converter
man thid is one thing i hate on these truvks i wish i could just install an indash like normal. too much koney just for a better radio i bought an audio control Lc2i and found out the signal sucks ass dont know if i should go a dsp route or just install a good indashh like this here and avoid the dsp any thoughts?
everyone says I need a radio number on the inside before I purchase a upgraded radio. what number are they talking about. I have a 2019 F-150 XL supercab
No radio number needed. If you have the 4.2" OEM screen, then the Pac RPK4-FD2201 kit works great. If you have the factory 8" screen, then you need the Pac RPK4-FD2101 kit.
Hey bro, did your pioneer return to main menu or you did something in especial for it. Is that in mine i install it and every time that i have a song put on with the usb and turn off the car it goes back to the main menu
When I wire red and red . Yellow and yellow . Doesn’t turn on. I had to put both red and yellow from radio to yellow l coming from car. But then it’s always on. How can I wire to accessory . So it turns with the ignition key? HELP!!!
check your fuses. if none are blown, there could be a wiring issue. May can run a wire to a fuse box for radio or something that turns when you turn the ignition. Had a buddy with 12 ford f150 with the same issue.
@@ProvoBeastAudio ok because i have the kit but I been looking on Amazon and I was wonder if the dip switch would work if I got a cheaper radio from Amazon since it’s not like a kenwood or pioneer.
@@victornavarro5736 It works for Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Clarion, Pioneer, Sony Fusion, and "Other" radios as directed by Pac Audio. If you get a brand not listed, it would fall under the "Other" category.
It's generally just a simple plug and play harness. Hard to know what radio kit, radio, install, etc would be causing the issues. Feel free to send us a message on facebook or instagram for help.
Parts linked in the description!
Had Sony radio installed in place of the F1 50s factory radio, when you turn on system and put it in reverse backup camera view is distorted ??

Wow... what an upgrade!!! Gotta love the Pac integration kits, they make it relatively easy to install an aftermarket radio into theses newer trucks.
I have a 2010 that I’m getting ready to upgrade and this series has really helped and made it so much simpler. Thank You
dude, you're gifted
It would be really nice if they could make to where you could retain the factory mic.
My kit didn’t come with the camera harness I have same model as you is there a way you can show what cable and what you plugged it into thanks
I wish they sold the dash panel without the module. XL F-150 / fleet version don't have steering controls etc, no module needed
The instruction manual looks great. I bought a 2015 F150 for $1700 and the 4" radio is bad. I do plan on putting a sub and 3 way passive components.

Itll void the warranty on it

Good
Glad it was better than average.

Nice video, do you need to get a new dash and change all the wiring if my factory screen is 8 in
I’d like to know what the radio including install kit and labor cost?
Should you disconnect the negative battery terminal before blugging everything in?
Most CD players have a release. Have pulled many CDs out without power.
Not everyone knows how to do that. It’s just best practice to pull them out before you pull the radio.
the stereo sticks out too far. doesnt look factory, is it adjustable?
Great video. I made the installation but I did something wrong because steel wheel control do not work. Can you help me?
It's tough to diagnose through a youtube comment. Just contact Pac and they can assist you directly.
I have an 2015 F150 did the install, my heat and ac doesn’t work now, any ideas? Thanks
Your ribbon cables were not seated correctly. You need to pull it apart and ensure those new longer ribbon cables are correctly installed.
Hi what if I want my satellite radio also do i add different attachments
The Pink wire where does IT conect to

Wasn't our vehicle, sorry.
Great work, do you still have all the original functions on the new radio like vehicle settings and so on.
Sure do.
Do you happen to have part number of those 4 ribbon cables or know where they can be purchased separately?? Thanks.
Nope, but you can probably reach out to pac directly to order those.

Does music play threw that middle channel or is it for calls and stuff ?
Yes music plays through it, I just recently replaced mine with a kick speaker because the stock one blew up ….. I realize this was 2 years ago lol
Does this kit retain the factory mic?
Does the PAC audio kit require an i datalink radio? I’ve emailed them several times with no response
Only problem I’m having is how to get the reverse work with the camera
Ours is generated with the smart harness. Need to hook up the reverse trigger wire from the harness to your radio.
Would the install for an 2019 F450 be similar to this F150?
sweet video
chauu
What do swc wires connect to?
And how much $$ it's all that work ?
What about back up camera and gps
We kept the factory backup camera operating normally. The radio comes with it's own GPS antenna to aid in use of wireless carplay and android auto.
@@ProvoBeastAudio so the factory back up camera wire plug right up to the radio. Nice. Simple installation thank you
Will this kit work on my 6 inch radio ?
Yep!
where did you mount the aftermarket microphone?
Owner of the truck wanted it up by the A-pillar corner
Will this kit work with any radio brand that is not mentioned in the instructions manual?
Any standard double din, yes.

Can this be with a kenwood double din cd player model 9703s
Yes, any standard double din (all major brands) will work fine with this dash kit.
I would like to have my camera work also and Xm radio is that possible?
When ordering the kit is the wiring harness included I want to keep my usb hook ups too!!
Where can I buy just the side plastic pieces that mount to the radio and the harness ?

Where would you connect the brown and brown and black wire if your have the center channel

@@ProvoBeastAudio I figured it out I was using the wrong av cable lol
So can you get almost any double din unit or does it have to be the pioneer used in this video
Any double din will fit (but refer to pac for any restrictions)
Anybody have the problem that the climate controls don’t come on and work?
That means one of your ribbon cables are not seated properly. You have to take it apart and check your connections
Will this kit work with the 8" factory radio I wanna change my deck too
If you have the factory 8", you will need this kit instead: amzn.to/3RAaK6s
Did the new ribbon cables come with the kit as well?
Sure did.
Good
