I always liked Scrappy as a kid, and even now (I ignore the mean spirited versions that cast him as a villian) view him as an over enthusastic, hyperactive, and at times reckless but ultimately good intentioned character who genuinely loved and looked up to his Uncle Scooby and was very protective of him. And lets not forget he is suppposed to be a puppy (ie a child), he's still learning and there could be a lot of room for character development with him. I missed the rest of the gang sometimes duing Scooby and Scrappy Doo show but my mind justified it as them probably having other responsibilities as time went on and not all having time to run around hunting ghosts for fun all the time like they did as teens..
Can you imagine if they actually had Scrappy show up as Scoobyâs nephew who honestly looks up to his uncle and tries to be like him? Like maybe have him be even more scared of monsters than Scooby, and Scooby has to show him to be brave and heroic despite his own fears? Thereâs so much potential for that!!!
I never really understood the hate for Scrappy, I mean sure he was annoying but there are literally HUNDREDS of other characters who'd make him look like a saint by comparison
Scrappy sacrificed himself for the greater good. He nobly killed the side characters to stop the infection, but died after killing the source of the blight on the Scooby Doo franchise. Fly high, brave soldier. All dogs go to heaven.
I prefer the cuter and cuddly version of Scrappy Doo than the modern version, like the menacing and mean one when he became the monster. Afterall, Scooby Doo and Mystery Inc. Show is meant to be a comedic and light-hearted version of serious but cool Ghostbusters animation.
I grew up watching Scooby-Doo in the 70s and up. Kids at the time didn't like scrappy-do because he messed with the formula of the chase scene. They made him a villain because he got so much hate during his introduction
I wonder how do people know this? We didn't have the internet back then, there were only Neilsen boxes, which apparently favored him, saving the show, so we only had our local friends. I remember me and a friend commenting on how silly it was for him to be trying to fight characters much bigger than him; but otherwise, nobody really talked about him. Scooby was a bit out of fashion, (at least among pre-teens and older) and the kids were more excited about action-adventure and anime. This should be kept in mind when talkign aboutt he "low point' of the show at the time.
Scrappy-doo wasn't a villain in this one he was a hero he have murdered countless characters that we don't give a shit about that are worse than him, including Velma - a Racist Selfish Right-Wing Hypocrite and you are saying he a villain anyone that actual kill this version of Velma is a likable character and a hero in my book - is like the police who ran her over a likeable character in my book.
To be Fair he became a martyr in the Audience's eyes in Velma

Scrappy is the greatest hero of all time, what do you mean heâs a villain?
AMEN!!!!!!
I never really understood the hate for Scrappy, I mean sure he was annoying but there are literally HUNDREDS of other characters who'd make him look like a saint by comparison
we should all give Scrappy-Doo a big, juicy, stinky, super apology.
he deserves to be back.
Villain? What are you talking about? Heâs a hero now.
I want Scrappy to Return as a good guy is well and Iâm glad Iâm not the only one that tired of them making him a joke
The studio ran him into the ground, then blamed their corporate laziness on Scrappy.
The Velma version of Scrappy was not a villain.....
He was the hero we didn't deserve! Thank you Scrappy!
The ultimate redemption

It will never end. Mostly because Warner Brothers themselves hate him and are teaching the younger generation to hate him
Why canât you do a video retrospective on why The Mystery Machine was neglected and unintentionally abused and mistreated for decades to come?

He suffred YEARS of neglect and they didn't even notice, even his own uncle
In my book Scrappy is the true hero of this hogwash series. đ
scrappy did good in the velma series because he killed velma
I agree that scrappy should be brought back
Scrappy was always more annoying than obtrusive. Hating on Scrappy is like hating all side characters of the time like Snarf from Thundercats.
Snarf gangstalks me, he comes to me in visons. he dances with jesus as they point and laugh at me.
He was annoying thatâs why this is way better
Scrappy doo is a character if you dislike him then rewrite his character.đ
That will never happen. For one, people are lazy
