Is use case based testing included in the system testing ? How about testing with black box techniques like equivalent partitioning, boundary analysis, etc.. ?
Yes benny use case should be included in system testing. Without use case how you will be knowing all the flows in your application. And yes even test case design techniques should be included in testing in order to have good test case coverage.

Unit testing is done by developers, component testing is done by test engineer. Testing each and every line of code is called unit testing because 1 line of code is the smallest unit of the application. For unit testing you have to know the code and this comes under whitebox testing. As for component/functionality testing you don't have to know the code. You check if the the specific component is working or not. This comes under blackbox testing. Hope this is helpful to you.
