    CTIL - Component Testing In Large
    Positive Testing
    Negative Testing
    Optimized Testing

    I have a question that what is the difference between regression test cases and functional test cases?

      Any change in the application reguires that we test not only the directly impacted functionality. But also related functionality+ core functionality of app to check for bugs. Identifying this subset of functional testcases that we need to execute to ensure that the software has not regressed due to the changes is called regression testing

      Unit testing is also known as Module, Program, or Component testing.

      Unit testing means developer will test each and every lines of code...and component testing means tester will test only functionality of UI..

      @@sheikhhariskhalid3810 yeah but unit testing belongs to testing the coding features and component testing belongs to testing the GUI features.. means both are testing same features but in unit developer test it(coding form) where in component tester test it(it's UI form)

    Hi sir...i was watching ur old vedio component testing...in this vedio u said that functional T. =component T. ....Then plz also reply r unitT., component T. And functional T. equal ? If yes they why BOX TESTING is different? Plz reply..plz clear my doubt unit T. Is done by developers...ie. white box T. ...but in google component T. Shows black box testing..then how unit T. =component T. ? In other channel vedio , a tester said component testing =functional testing ...i will wait 4ur reply...plz detect my bug in regress manner

    One thing is not clear to me Manish, Testers should perform Over testing or not and what is the use of Under Testing if we are not testing the functionality of each components with all possible scenarios ,I mean why we(testers) are not checking the textbox with alphabet or special characters in this example.

      No both are different. Component testing is a part of black box testing and its executed by tester where as Unit testing is a part of white box testing and executed by developer. Once Unit testing is done by Developer then, testers will start Component testing.
