I did not expect the next part this quickly but you were so, so excited! Joel wanting to be a singer and sing for Ellie one day is a very important thing to remember. Perhaps not for this game, though. It may be an important thing to recall for the next one. Good thing that skeleton’s tape had the location of where the Fireflies went to. Now Utah is one state over to the left of Colorado but I’m not sure how fast they can get there on horseback and the Interstate Highways no longer exist in this world. So they’ve still got a long ways to go.
Your reaction to Joel falling and getting impaled by that rebar matched when I originally saw it. It must have been so unbelievably painful. And he’s extremely lucky it didn’t kill him. It was really sad that part where as Joel was passing out and collapsing he knew two men were coming up behind Ellie and if she wasn’t able to get the better of them it would have been over for her and there was nothing he could do protect her. You think of the unthinkable anguish that causes for any father figure. It literally must be the worst possible nightmare.
It was exciting to see you get excited to play as Ellie. Unfortunately if Ellie didn’t shoot animals with arrows in that situation they would all starve. I’m sorry you had to re-record parts of it more than once. I don’t think Ellie breaking David’s finger and antagonizing him was a very good strategy for her to escape however satisfying it was to watch. But her idea to escape at the last minute before being cut up into tiny little pieces was masterclass.
Yes, David was finally dead by the end of this video. In vengeance for all he had done and for the sexual assault he had tried to do, Ellie made sure he was even deader than Julius Caesar. I loved this new part and can’t wait for the next one.
