    • @GeekOfShaves
      @GeekOfShaves  Před 5 lety +3

      @@kamilmusalat I see this as targeting the market that the likes of Bolin Webb established, which is the ultra premium. Similarly why do people buy Bollinger Champagne when they could buy Cava or Prosecco which uses the same 'method traditional' to make but is not from the champagne region in France?
      Answer is the branding, and image, although customers would often say otherwise.

    • @kamilmusalat
      @kamilmusalat Před 5 lety

      Geek Of Shaves I understand your comparison but i honestly can’t compare this to it. This isn’t the same as this will not be perceived as that valuable by most customers, whereas the champagne is. I’m pretty sure this will not be a success unless they will not produce a lot of these and just limit these to a certain numbers like they do with trainers nowadays selling same Nike versions in special limited color ways.

    What does the heated bar add to the shaving experience, is it just the sensation of having a hot towel wet shave or simply just a warm bar running across the face? I guess what I’m asking is what does it add in terms of enjoyment to the experience

    • @GeekOfShaves
      @GeekOfShaves  Před 5 lety +4

      It's a good question.
      In short, human skin likes it when a warm (not very hot) item runs across it, so it does have a nice sensation. I dont think it necessarily adds to the effectiveness, but as an occasional shave and part of a pampering routine it does feel nice.
      So I would say it's for occasional use, bit like a spa day is nice, but you wouldn't do it every day.

Wipe the water from my face then instead of using any shaving foam, which was the main reason of spots occurring due to the chemicals in the foam, use soap. Then run your razor under the hot water for few seconds, then shave. Try it for 6/7 shave and I hope the spots will go.

    You're comparing it to a Ferrari, but a Ferrari will give you a way different experience. I like the heated blade, but it's a 4 minute experience and apart from the heat it does nothing better than your average Mach 4 for example. A Ferrari is faster, looks great, gives fun on the free way, etc. etc. In total, it's a way better car.
    It's €200,- here, so a bit cheaper, and my brother uses it and I tried it out. Personally I think it's a bs product. And an actual rich person, does he care about spending this on shaving? I wouldn't call myself rich, but I do pretty well. But this doesn't mean I will spend more on things like toilet paper and shaving. I'd rather go to the barber for a shave once a week then.

I'll never go back to disposables, cartridges, or electrics again. And to the people reading this if you're worried about getting cuts going to a safety razor all there is is a small learning curve once you get past that you'll have the best shape of your life
