Good czcams.com/video/RecIUOjjxJw/video.html
that honesty tho
@@ArnoldPranks Exactly.
I know right 😂😂😂😂😂
I wish more reviewers were like Parker.
- no unnecessarily long intro
- no cinematic morning routine
- no vlog for 20 minutes
- no digging thru the video to find the important info like a treasure hunt
Just facts and straight to the point. Thanks for all the amazing content🤘🤩🤙 and please never change...
... and COMPLETE disclosures.
Only con is the comments are full of comments identical to yours :(
Balance, I guess.
Looking at you Peter Mckinnon 😂
I so, so, so genuinely appreciate your transparency in regards to affiliate products + you starting your own brand and you laying out your actual margins for us. I'm here for high quality reviews regardless if they are slightly biased.
This is a video ad for the garbage mic, not a transparant comperison.
The transparancy would be if he'd mentioned that Sennheiser mic is ME2 and it costs $129.
@@Diploman7 I think you are having some trouble with reading comprehension this morning Val... highly suggest you maybe take the whole 3 seconds to thoroughly read my post again. Have a good one.
Definitely think the $200 sounded better, but for the the price of $29 and its a close resemblance, is easily the best option.
I knew that would be the case. You're simply paying for the name with the expensive ones that were still made in China like they all are.. I bought a 30 dollar mic for my computer and it came with an amp and arm and it sounds fine
Well the Tascam comes with it's own recorder that has a ton of built-in features too.
Yeah I noticed the difference too but I'm okay with the cheaper one for now.
I've done a few pink-noise analysis tests on the Tascam mic. There's a huge spike at 8khz that can sometimes make you prefer it because it seems brighter, but in reality its an unnatural and harsh spike up that causes sibilance problems and is tough to remove in post.
I noticed this in the vid and wondered if anyone mentioned it. I don't like it in the vid, too much sibilance.
Mmm. So if you have audio engineering skills and iZotope RX 7 it doesn’t matter. Good to know.
I don’t understand a lot of these words at all
Don't know why, but to my ears the $29 lav mic is the only one that doesn't hurt my ears. The others are way too bright.
Very good points.
I genuinely respect the fact you disclose your profit and you still help others who are on a budget find a mic
Gotta love when a guy recommends another mic over his own.. to much respect for parker
Maybe it's subliminal advertising..sure he recommended the expensive one..but 99% of us are sitting there going "Hmmm.. that $29 lav mic sounds pretty damn comparable to the $600 one"
@@ArnoldPranks The $600 is also a full professional level analogue wireless system.. cannot compere it to the others tbh
This comparison is not between 3 mics - but between a directly plugged in mic, a small recorder and a wireless system! For example the Sennheiser G4 you linked, is bundled with the Me-2-II mic, that is sold seperately for around 129,- (and can also be bought in other bundles - or even used with the Tascam recorder). So your comparison is actually not about the mics' qualities (including preamps) but more about the different systems. That are directly plugged in, small recorder and wireless lav setups!
Thanks for pointing this out! I'd be curious how all 3 mics would have sounded all plugged into the same recording device, because we're hearing different pre-amps in all 3.
Very good point.
Awesome video! I can definitely notice a difference between the FTF and Tascam, with the FTF sounding a little more muffled to me. I will go with the Tascam, thanks for the recommendation.
I love the transparency and flex in the beginning of the video. You the man, Parker!
thank you SO MUCH for editing this, and bouncing back and forth between the diff mics. prob the best video i've seen that demostrates the difference. great work
Parker, all the best for your brand accessories! We love it and will always support it!!
Love your transparency and fair play 🙌 Best of luck with the new range of hardware... great pivot!
Wow!!! Love the transparency right upfront. Love your videos as I am just learning.
Thank you, Parker! FTF is not bad at all! A little bit noisy and lacks highs. But it can be fixed on post with no problem. Also you can use "match EQ" for FTF and it will sounds like Sennheiser.
Will the $29 Lav mic work with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra? Also, does it work ok with the adapter?
*Thanks for the honest review. Your videos are really good.*
Great advice man. Thanks for this video
I love the entire video for a plethora of reasons! Dropping a LIKE on your video.... simply excellent comparisons!
i was really looking for a new lav.. i’ve been waiting for a video like this.
PERFECT timing! Thanks :D
The transparency regarding how much you earn from either of them was amazing.
This is not a transparant video at all, this is just another bluff video ad for the garbage FFF mic
Working up to make some videos and I just discovered your channel. I want you to know how very much I appreciate your expertise and how generously you share your knowledge. Thank you!
I admire you for always being honest and so transparent in your tutorials...definitely no fluff!
"You benefit either way!" 🤣
I'm waiting on the Zoom F2 field recorder, it has 32 bit float and a decent price.
Thank so much for the detail video you make it helps new filmmakers and content makers thanks God bless you
If only everyone had quality hearing.
Are there other middle tier mics that you can plug directly into your camera? It seems silly to not have that option with the more expensive options.
always waiting yo see your videos
Thank you! Excellent video
Respect for being bluntly honest! Like always nothing but appreciation for your videos!
Great review, thanks!
Great to see Parker back on CZcams!
Yes perfect timing I needed this totally getting FTF gear
Got my FTF yesterday. Haven't gotten to use it yet, but I'm hyped to finally get the opportunity this weekend.
I know its been a while but how has it held up? Is it still good long term? Any major issues one should know about? Im really interested but skeptical because of the price.
Great video! Thank you!
Straight to the point and in depth! Respect!
Most of the video sounded like it was leaking over the speakers of my note 10 with volume about ¾ of the way up.
This is awesome. I love the honesty as to what Parker will get out of each purchase. I've used wireless transmission lavs and hate the interference. I like the self-contained style of the Tascam. Syncing in post has been way more worth it to me. I would have definitely bought the FTF Gear lav 2 years ago when I was starting to record.
That was nice! Budget lights would be interesting as well!
respect for the transparency with how you would benefit.
Thanks for the honest review.
love this transparency
Exactly the video I was looking for! For CZcams videos, would you recommend the tascam over a boom mic like the rode videomic pro +?
So with the tascam do when you are in between takes do you have to stop the recording each time? Obliviously with the $600 one one you cut camera it will stop recording but how does the tascam know when a take is cut?
So excited for the new brand!
I've been looking for a good lav mic so thanks for the input 👌🏿
Thank you this video was amazing
Finally parker's back
Tascam sounds slightly brighter but otherwise the FTF mic sounds just as good to me as the much more expensive options. I think you've got my $12! Thanks for the honest comparison and for creating something I can afford!
love the honesty
I’ll be filming an interview with my Sony A6400 camera and will be at a noisy location. I’m wondering what you’d recommend for mics that would pick up the speakers voice the best while keeping background noise to a minimum. I don’t have control over where I will be recording or else I’d go somewhere less hectic lol
Thanks for the comparison!
Would have loved if a røde setup was in this comparison due to the so popular Wireless Go.
love your honesty about making money that is why we trust your videos
Happy to see you presenting again Parker
@@fulltimefilmmaker can create?
@@fulltimefilmmaker Amazon doesn't deliver the product to UAE, would've been so great to have a product with your logo printed on it.
Just bought the Tascam last week. Very pleased 🙌🏼
Can you please recommend the compactible dead cat for the Tascam DR-10L? Many thanks.
Ur honesty is awesome brother
"I benefit either way"😂... Amazing Parker!
That Tascam! is my go to always, but I love the quality for the price on the the FTF if youre in need of a budget mic. Great vid guys! super helpful info in here
Have you found a work around to plug it into your camera directly?
@@GBLynden not with the Tascam... but if you ever find this info Id love to hear it! would be a major bonus to production of videos. Great question
Right off the start, thank you for being transparent! I heard your opinion between the Tascam mic and the Sinnheiser mic. I plan to use it in a classroom where I may be moving around. Will that be an issue with the Tascam? What are your thoughts of using the FTF and Tascam with the Rode 2 wireless?
Very good and informative. I should tell you in my field, Audio Post Production for movies and television, that is so critical to exactly match your mic positions. The level 3 mic is nowhere near in the same position on your shirt. We call this "on" and "off" axis. In fact two of them are buried into a crease of your shirt while the lowest one is has an external pop filter and is 100% more on axis . The level 2 and level 1 mic have nicer and smoother high end than the level 3 mic. Sorry to get critical. Dig the channel and thinking about subscribing.
Tentacle Sync Track E - best of them all. Good lav mic included. 32 bit float so no worries of clipping. No interference from being wireless. Plus time code for easy accurate sync.
How funny, I live right by you! Maybe I’ll see you running around one day, really enjoy your stuff!
Love the video. Is it possible you could update me as to whether you've tested the zoom f2 yet and if so what are your thoughts?
Sweet video and exactly what I was looking for! Is the FTF Lav Mic also coming to Amazon UK or Germany?
Would love to order one but Amazon.com says it does not ship to Germany.
Super solid video
Great transparency im sold
Very good , thank You ! I will wait for the new zoom and see results. Also when I saw bike video of the iphone 12 pro max i bought one for wide b-roll next to my GH5 on the gimbal for Weddings, good Job Guys !
You sold me on the Tascams. Thank you so much for being forthright.
I just ordered the FTF v2 because of this video. Thank you, I used your amazon affiliate link. Made the decision making easy!
This is so helpful thank you! For the FTF gear mic, how does it work for interviews if I needed 2 mics?
Definitely upgrading to a Tascam it sounds like it filters the background noise very well great video!
Surprised by the performance of the FTF mic! Definitely one that I may pick up in the future.
This is pretty awesome I gotta get one myself.
I advise everyone to listen to this video on either a GOOD set of headphones or a very decent set of speakers. :)
Great stuff Parker!
Actually the Sennheiser Mic only is the ME2 and costs $130. You optionally _could_ add $470 for the wireless G4 transmitter and receiver. (Or a $25 Rode VXLR+ to connect the ME2) This wireless functionality you won't get with the FTF Lav or the Tascam (has other benefits). So I think it's a bit unfair to compare only the sound alone of these three options based on a maxed-out Kit-price without to compare the totally different feature sets of each package. They're different. Each of those three options has its legitimate purposes, pros and cons for sure. I just would have liked those included in the test.
Well said Elia
Yeah it was definitely a skewed comparison that mis-represented the mic’s involved, not to mention how a wireless system with colour the sound as well. It definitely hides the small price increase it actually is to the Sennheiser ME2 and what an actual $400 Sennheiser lav like the MKE2 or MKE1 sounds like (not to mention durability).
Looking for the best mic that I can use DIRECTLY my IPhone. I shoot 90% with my iPhone and looking for a lav, particularly wireless if possible. Anyone got any recommendations?
Can I use the 29 one long distance?
What do you use for post processing the audio? Like at 4:44 - what program is that ?
Thanks!
I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Thank you for this.
Following you for years man, hope to purchase the full course from you one day!☝ God bless you man parker!🙏
I have the course and it is DEFINITELY worth it!
Finally someone talking about the free voice record pro app! Seriously I built a boom system with my iPhone and a rhode video micro and the ability to adjust the gain and listen on headphones was an audio game changer for me!!! Best budget app for filmmakers in my opinion!!!
Wow, what a timing of the video. I was just looking at lav mics, this is very useful! It can’t be delivered to the Netherlands though 😓
Can you make an updated video for 2022/2023? I love these videos---- so freaking helpful and they allow the audience to make their own judgement without making a purchase.
what do you recommend for recording audio on a camera with no mic jack? does a usb c to audio 3.5 mm jack do the trick? really don't want to sync audio in post. ✌️
for real this is the best comparison i have ever seen
ftf mic is pretty decent for a start point, although i can't really hear a big difference between the tascam and the seinnheiser so i wouldn't go the extra mile to get the upgrade. the tascam gets the job done if you are on a budget. Thank you for the comparison !
I got 5 of the $29 dollar mics from your link for guest podcasting.
Hey they sound pretty good!
Thank you for the great affordable suggestion ..
This is my first video that I see only after 1 minute of release.....✌️
Great video. Something we’ve been looking into. I’ve actually used that app and it’s brilliant. I used it in college and i cannot recommended it enough.
I ordered one Thanks Parker
Great video ! How do I record 2 person lav mic audio into the dslr camera ?
When outside did all 3 lavs have a "fluffy" or at least a foam wind screen on? I could only see one with it on - the others might have had metal screens but that's not the same thing
For beginners I'd definitely use the FTF on a couple projects and then have it pay for your Tascam! Incredible value. But I'd use the tascam myself! great video Parker
What if you use the Tascam into say an F3 Zoom, and then get the timecode synched to say, a Pocket 6K? (maybe with a line in cable?) I would need a Timecode synching device or something right? Sorry, haven't seen any demonstrations, and haven't been able to play with the gear myself, so hard to figure it out.
Thanks for being up front re your economic interests. I trust your reviews far more than those others who fail to disclose!!!
hello, currently what do you think is the best lavalier to connect to the tascam h1n (which from what i understand is the best at that price) under 100 dollars? thank you!
I got a Fulltime filmmaker ad on that video so that was nice
Nice transparency. 👍
