So good to have a side by side comparison. Thank you for a well put together video.
Thanks for testing and explaining the differences of these microphones!
So comprehensive! Thank you
Really like the way you went into all the details when comparing these mics
This is an awesome side by side test. thank you for your diligence, sir!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank You very much.
Lucky I'm looking for this exact content within two weeks of you posting. Thanks for the content!
Happy to help!
Amazing video. I got what I was looking for 🔥
Exactly what I was looking for thanks bro!
Thanks for testing these mics and comparing them!
Thank you so much for the detailed review. This channel is very helpful
this is the video I have been looking for ! thanks Kyle
Happy to help
Good info there. Thank you 🙏 🎤
This saved me so much time, money and potential frustration with not getting the quality of sound I want. THANK YOU for making this! My fave part was the side by side testing of audio. I closed my eyes and screenshot when i heard audio I liked. This helped me narrow down my choices so quickly!
Great to hear that! heh... see what I did there?
@@kylemeshna hah! Love it! 😂
Thank you so much for this video. My Shure Mvls works great on the DJI mic one, but I was sad to find that they did not work on my DJI mic 2. Thanks for letting me know I need adapters. Much appreciated. Great video by the way.
Agreed - we use the Shure MVL with the original DJI Mic. In fact the opposite issue is that the Rode Lavalier can't be used with the original DJI Mic because it has RF inference. czcams.com/video/Vsf9nIiMgPA/video.htmlsi=A8R_uQB-z9HamY3X&t=153
Tengo el mismo problema. El shure motiv mvl podía usarlo con el dji mic 1 pero no funciona en el 2, lo probé con dos cápsulas distintas Shure
I was just about to buy all of them to see which one was the best lol for that I just subscribed haha thanks man!
Haha gotchu fam 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video just made a purchase through your link! Have a great day.
Ive been using that mv101 for a while and always felt it was under rated. Too bad companies don't actually make a lav mic like this. I use mine while shooting daily vlogs using my action cameras and it sounds great after you join the single channel output to both left and right. Such a great mic
Gracias, he decidido comprar el powerdewise
i need a mic lav that does well with loud yelling, even with 32bit float, alot of the mics still distort ,
Great timing! I've been looking for a lav mic for my DJi II. Bought a Rode Lavalier II and if I like it, I'll get a second. Used your affiliate link, because as a small youtube channel myself (AwCrap) I know how it can help.
Very happy to hear this was well timed! Way to go, algorithm! And appreciate the affiliate link as well!
Thank you! Very good video!
Happy to help
33 seconds in and I already know this is exactly the video I was looking for. Good Job!
heck yes
A mic for a mic, fuck this
@NaqiRaza why did you bother clicking on the video
@@kylemeshna just to make sure it was what i thought i understood from the title. These company keep foming up with ways to make money and use ‘influencers’ such as yourself to perpetuate their BS. No offence to you but you do understand, spending $300 on a mic system only to have to spend another couple of hundreds to get decent audio, is just plain stupid
Does the DJI lavalier improve the DJI mic 2 transmitter sound? Does it sound good overall?
Thanks for the review, I was thinking about buying two DJI microphones. But I think I'll stick with the AGPTEK Lavalier microphones I bought 1 year ago. They are still great, have all the accessories and are the cheapest ever (strange) only 17 euros.
I have had 3 Rode Go 2's and the quality of the sound is good, however, the cable shorts at the jack. If it were a single mic, I would pass it off but I have had three go down. my transmitter is in my front pocket so I don't see stress as the issue. I do see a high quality mic with a low quality wire-jack assembly.
Amazingly, I happen to own the DJI Mic 2 for my DJI Osmo Action 4, the Movo MV M101, and The Purple Panda, so you had my rapt attention. I also have a Yellow Way Lav, Deity V.Lav, and Boya BY-M1S Lav. My conclusion is that I'm willing to "fish the bottom" even more than you. 🤣 My testing is slightly less rigorous in that, if they work at all, they're good enough. I can get away with that because I'm not a CZcamsr and very few people see/hear my videos. Still, I was pleased to see 2 of mine make your testing and not end up dead last. Thanks for sacrificing the ear-time for the rest of us.
Do you know anything about the rode smartlav+? I have a connector for 2 trrs to 1 trrs, but it looks like the rode livelier go is trs.
Thanks !
the Shure MVL works perfectly with the DJI mic1. I don't understand their decision to change the 3.5mm port. That said, i still think the Shure MVL sounded the best with the DJI mic1/2.
How did you get the lav mics to work that’s non Dji With the mic 2 wireless?
Looking at the thumbnail I thought you were pointing to the microphone lol. Definitely an interesting video I will have to come back to I'm trying to figure out more information on the DJI Mic two itself.
Here’s my video on the Mic 2

@@kylemeshna Thank you so much lol I may have already watched it and commented. I have a horrible memory I apologize.
@PizzlesTechTime haha I probably saw your comment and forgot as well 😅
Thanks. Cheer up!
You went in on all the graphics
I really did 😅
The MOVO is a great little mic! Sounds good & fun to use!
So fun! Have you had any issues getting it securely connected? Or any tips to prevent it from not connecting?
@@kylemeshna I have the version of the mic that has a gold locking ring. With regards to ensuring a secure insertion, my model allows the ring to be pushed all the way up towards the mic capsule. It kinda wedges up there an lets the TRS plug be fully inserted (as opposed to some locking rings which prevent that in non-locking jacks). Other than that, I've been using mine daily for a little while now and it's been a really fun upgrade from the built-in TX mic.
@@WayneRECsInteresting! the locking ring on my version does go all the way to the top, but it can still be a bit finicky and doesn't always connect fully, so there's been a handful of times where I don't get any audio into the transmitter. Have to unplug and plug it back in a few times and then it works.
Can i use all of these mic with seinheiser ew100 g4?
I feel like the DJI Lav should gets points for having the L-Shaped cord insert, the ones that stick straight out get annoying to handle at times
It’s strange with the purple panda as into my DJI osmo action (which I would expect to sound very similar being from DJI) the sound clarity and quality is hands down the best. Having said that I do use it in my helmet for vlogging.
You the goat
What lav mic would you recommend for running and wind adventures?
Same thing. The rode lav II comes with a really great wind deadcat
Hi Kyle, not sure if you'd see this but could you do a similar video for Rode Wireless Pro mic. Or could you just tell me which one would you recommend. Thank you.
You mean testing with the rode wireless pro system instead?
Hi, thank you for responding. I meant to say If I buy the Rode Wireless Pro instead of DJI Mic 2 - would the lav that comes with it be the best choice or is there another lav you’d recommend to use with the mics? My budget is $150
I have 2 of the Rode lav 2 mic's and for some reason with the screw on audio jack the mic won't connect fully into the receiver. Was this a problem for you at all or anyone else? Anything you did to fix it?
The screw part comes off
Is it possible to use the Rode Lavalier II without a transmitter or receiver? By just connecting it directly to your computer or phone
You’d need a trs to trrs adapter
I just watched a similar test for DJI Mic (1st gen) with different Lav mics. There was an issue with interference from transmitter when using Rode Lav GO. Is there interference with DJI Mic 2 and Rode Lav GO?
I didn’t experience any interference with either of the Rode Mics!
No that's been fixed in the 2nd Dji mic
Did you turn off the low cut filter on the DJI Mic 2? (It is on by default, but the audio will sound much better if you turn it off.)
Yes
Every microfone that he mencion is able to record 32 bit internal ? or are they can only work normal bit rate ?
32 bit float is done with the DJI Mic2. Has nothing to do with the microphones. Yes, All of these were recorded with 32 bit
What is the length of the dji lav mic?
goood question.waiting for ans
Do I need a Trrs to Trs adapter using the Shure MVL with the DJI 2?
Yes
@@kylemeshnawait, I have bought two Shure Lav mics for my DJI Mic version 1… They work perfectly without adapter… Are you saying that if I upgrade to the DJI MIC 2, I’ll need to add the adapter? That would not only be a bummer but also very weird…
@@Superjeanmarc does yours have 2 or 3 lines on the mic jack? If yours has only 2, you're good. if it has 3, you'll need an adapter
@@kylemeshna It has 3 .... I can't believe DJI has changed their connection between their mic v1 and v2... The Shure is like 60euros.. x2 is 120 euros I can't use if I upgrade to V2... Bummer
@@Superjeanmarc Good news: TRS adapter should only cost ~$10
L❤VE form JAPAN
I have the Sony Mic but on Sony's wireless system. I really don't feel it's that bad. Is it possible that it sounds better on their system then DJI Mic2? I'm looking into switching because of the internal recoding, now that DJI has the adapter for Sony Hotshoe.
Very possible but I haven’t tested it
😊
"...the price is right..." 🤣
Theres more ads on this video than content.
Then don’t watch 😅
CZcams premium 😁
Buddy tryna get his ad cents
Have you tried plugging the lav mics directly into the pocket 3 with a 3.5mm to usbc adapter and not through the wireless transmitter . They sound awful
I don’t own a Pocket 3 so haven’t tested that
Looks like I’m getting the rode go 🤌🏼
