This is my favourite Pumpkins song. I first heard it on a vinyl copy of "Machina/the machines of god" at the beginning of side four. I was in love with it ever since. :)
I just can't get enough of this version. Everything about it is enough to bring a man to his knees. It's so spacey, especially with the solo at the end. The video fits it well.

I think this version is much better than the one off of machina II. I think they should have released this one for that album. Bass on this version is amazing!

Nothing wrong with that either, it's exactly what SP did to get their own sound in the first place, a little Black Sabbath, a little The Cure, a little Cheap Trick : voila The Smashing Pumpkins!
The only thing that irks me about this version is that they rewrote the killer guitar solo that dominates the bridge and final chorus of the Machina II version. Otherwise the slicker production does wonders for the song.

This version is so much better than the alt version on Machina 2. I got this original version when I brought the stand inside your love single.

The title to this page is wrong! THIS version is the ORIGINAL version and NOT the alternative take. This is also much better IMO.
