What a totally dysfunctional interview. The moderators ask a question but will not allow Jaitley or Tharoor to answer the question posed with constant interruptions. Then the moderators suggest that Tharoor took one position and ask for a response. How would they know what Tharoor said unless he is able to answer a question fully. Very sloppy journalism akin to tabloid journalism. These journalists are way too aggressive for a civil discussion on any subject. I wish Indian journalists watch professional interviews conducted in the US and UK. Secondly what is going on the screen. They have banners on the top and bottom of screen, advertising streams on the right. Very sloppy and chaotic.

Jailey is a sitting duck against Shashi no comparison. Shashi knows the global politics and is extremely well educated. Sadly Shashi may be a nationalistic but he is filthy and corrupt.
Jaitley is a wheeler dealer who has amassed a fortune after coming from a modest descent Brahmin family. He spent a small fortune on his son's education. Today if the BJP is in power is not due to their capability but due to Congress becoming corrupt and pushing only one family, which is now a burden on Congress. Jaitley should learn from Atalji rather than fly in air backed by the U.S. Jewish Lobby.
None of the BJP guys has the capability of Mrs. Indira Gandhi nor her personality. In BJP only Jaswant Singh or Bhairon Singh Sekhawat had a comparable personality. What Mrs. Indira Gandhi did no one in the BJP can. She made India into a military superpower by fragmenting Pakistan while the backers of Pakistan, the USA and China watched in dismay. Mrs. Indira Gandhi was responsible for demonstrating India's nuclear capabilities in 1974 and getting the AGNI missiles pushed.
The BJP should rise with all other nationalistic parties along with good elements in Congress to make India truly great. Also Jaitley must note expensive clothes are not impressive but creativity. is. thus should learn from Gandhiji.
In the end fortunately BJP has two good people in Rajnath Singh and Parriker.

My bets on the leader of Congress would be on Joytiraje Scindia. Very effective orator. Dr Tharoor is a very external affairs man. The truth is that it takes a combination of really smart people to make a good party.

Ahead of 2019. I agree with Arun Jaitley as far as why Congress is failing is concerned. As long as Rahul is there, it is going to be difficult. Congress did pick up issues that doesn't resonate with the masses. People are tired of the dynasty and they need to realise this. They should adjust with according to the present needs. Rahul Gandhi behaves like he is doing politics for a passtime. There is no vigour, no sense of urgency in him to win back the lok sabha. In such a scenario a change of leadership is imperative. Most of the commoners don't know or care about Rafael. I am not saying that the opposition shouldn't clamour when they see scams but shouldn't it be more sensible to say, reach out to the farmers who are disadvantaged by famines and receiving prices below MSP. Shouldn't they aggressively advocate to provide what the ruling dispensation has failed to provide or wilfully denied the public. Talk about the safety of women, about the safety of children in school with the rising sexual harrassment in school, talk about fuel prices, talk about food inflation and yes corruption. Rahul Gandhi is not competent enough. This is no secret. They are not even going for a much needed pre poll alliances. The regional parties enthusiastically approached Rahul to do so in order to cull the blooming lotus but he stalled and the regional parties are forming their own alliance now. Congress needs a major change asap because India cannot afford to have another 5 year term under bjp
